Went dumpster diving last night at a few game stores, came away with some decent finds on the poster front.

Linking to the full Imgur album because I am lazy.

That PC game is not only worthless but sealed. The controller is a heartbreaker, the joystick is a victim of Mario Party rotation but yet the store cut the cord anyway. I hope I can splice the wires to see if there's maybe a responsiveness issue or something, because the joystick can be replaced super easily.

The display boxes are great condition, but the posters are a mixed bag. Of course Yasiel Puig looks good, but Splatoon(!!!) has some holes from where they hung it up, and Star Wars has three nasty creases down the middle, but it doesn't look too bad from afar.

And the dog treats because people need to learn how to read dates in something other than M/D/Y. Found that quite by chance, it was sealed, figured it was still good, my dogs love it.

I still need to post up a lot of my other finds, but I just wasn't sure if I should make another thread, figured maybe a literal find in the finds thread would be different to see. :P
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

these are some buddies of mine. We live in the same area.

They got some good finds that probably I would have found had I went to the fleamarket that day.

I didn't go today because I've been fixing up my house. With some friends and helpers, we're putting up a new cinderblock fence in my home. (because Mexico).

They are hitting up the same people I go to!

But that's enough jealousy for today. They got good stuff and I probably would have left the sega consoles there!

Here they are "The Retro Coyotes" (name pending)

Scored a CIB copy of Revenge of Shinobi for $10 sight unseen and lo and behold, it's the 1.0 version so I was really happy about that and the price. I already had the "Best Of" version and they are possibly the ugliest Greatest Hits-type boxes ever so I was glad to secure this.

I used to only have the game on the "6 Pak" which of course was the later version with all the copyright concerns removed.

I also picked up a cheap, random Revenge of Shinobi last year and got 1.0 on my first shot.

On top of that my copy of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is REV00 so I have the luck of the Irish when it comes to Genesis games.

I'm guessing you mean the version with Thriller in it? That's awesome. I've never known anyone to have had that version. It's almost not even real to me haha. I received my model 1 Genesis I believe as a Christmas gift the year it came out along with a copy of Moonwalker and I didn't even have the Thriller version, 5-6 months after launch. I can't imagine there are many copies out there.

Side note: Where are you in PA? I'm in Pittsburgh.

Bah. I wish the Gamestops around here still had complete PSP games :(

Anyway, I had a Sims-tastic weekend last week.

Went to one thrift store and they had:

The Sims: Complete Collection (CIB)
The Sims 2 (CIB + bonus PS2 manual  )

I haven't really played any Sims game, so I figured for that price I could give it a whirl.

But it turns out, I should have held off on getting The Sims 2, because when I popped by one of my favorite thrift stores they had:

The Sims 2: Double Deluxe (Includes game, plus Nightlife expansion and Celebration Stuff)
The Sims 2: Apartment Life
The Sims 2: Free Time
The Sims 2: Open for Business
The Sims 2: Pets
The Sims 2: University
The Sims 2: Seasons
The Sims 2: Bon Voyage
The Sims 2: Happy Holidays Stuff
The Sims 2: Mansion & Garden Stuff

All CIB and all nice and shinny discs. They actually had more than that, but if figured what I picked up was more than enough to get me started

Grand total for the weekend (with tax) - Less than $14

It was supposed to be more than that, but the clerk at the second thrift looked at everything and said, "Let's see those are supposed to be...Ah, hell, one dollar each."

Hurray for new, overworked staff who don't feel like doing math :P

Found a minty copy of Parasite Eve for $6 today. I'm not much of a PS1 guy so I'll probably end up using it for trades down the road. :)
