It's nothing to brag or be proud about, but my ears are super, super sensitive to pitch. That acapella clip was beyond awful to me. Ever roll down one rear window in your car and it feels like waves of air are trying to blow out your eardrums? That's what the slightest bit of intonation sounds like to me. I physically can not take it, and I consider myself to have a very high tolerance for pain.
Like listening to an out of tune piano, I can't take it. String duets are the worst (however I love a symphony) and barber shop quartets are a close second. A group of people being off key is a thing I can handle, but a group of people being slightly off key is hell on earth. It's like I could listen to ODB sing, but four ODB's singing at the same time would be the most terrible thing ever.
