Yeah, that stage you just have to memorize. There's no way to twitch your way out of it. It is frustrating at first, but it feels kind of good to get through it without dying, once you know it.pook99 wrote:@pierot: yeah, I think I mean Hades as the cave level, the annoying level where the walls randomnly move every which way and if your not in the right spot you die instantly.
Oh, I totally get this. It was something I struggled with at first, too, for pretty much the same reasons. It's like a meme, too. I don't know where the idea that it's an easy game comes from, but I suspect it's mostly people who don't really think about how many ships they lose, or how many continues they use, and the instant respawn kind of facilitates that. TechnoSoft made it to kick your ass at first. That's what they do. Blast Wind is probably the only legitimately "easy" TechnoSoft game I've played, but even that takes some amount of practice, without just credit feeding to victory.pook99 wrote:I also think you hit on another sore spot for me...every place I read about the game talks about how easy it is and I just don't see it. I am not a master of schmups but I'm decent at them and this "easy" game keeps killing me which makes me feel inept and angry. I think if I didn't go in with that expectation it may not frustrate me as much as it does.
Also, Key is a god gamer who eats Comix Zone, and craps Wiz & Liz. Don't feel too bad if she has little trouble with a game that's difficult for you.
