If you're satisfied with that, and are putting the game away to move on to something else, sure, why not? I feel the purpose here is a lot more to establish a taste profile of sorts, rather than some sort of numbers contest.dsheinem wrote: There are two career modes and, after completing one, you get credits?

sure sure...i guess maybe the question is more for other folks who have played. did i indeed see the ending, or should i finish both career paths? is there some kind of special ending for beating both?isiolia wrote:If you're satisfied with that, and are putting the game away to move on to something else, sure, why not? I have not played it, but to me it would be similar to Star Fox.
Sure you can choose one path and say you finished it if that is what you consider finished, but you are missing out on levels from the main game. Sounds like you are missing out on half the game by not playing it.
On the other hand, if it is just 'another perspective, same levels but you play as the cop, stuff wasting your time on that.

it is different challenges that make up a similar campaign, all in the same open worldemwearz wrote:I have not played it, but to me it would be similar to Star Fox.

Ah okay, sounds far more like 'light / dark' side style stuff, personally I would not bother pretty much replaying the same game twice unless I had a itch for more of the game, though knowing NFS, I highly doubt that.

Yeah I'd consider it beaten for sure.
To use an example from my own gaming history I have played through Muramasa several times, but only Momohime's story. The credits roll when you finish her story and I consider the game finished. You can play through the game with another character as well, but from what I understand it's nearly identical - just some plot elements and cutscenes are changed. I guess if you finish the stories of both you unlock some "post-game" content and whatnot, but it's all far too redundant for my tastes.

Muramasa is a great game, and you should play through both sides. The characters actually play alot differently; bosses are completely different; and I actually enjoyed my second run-through (with Kisuke) a bit more.BoneSnapDeez wrote:To use an example from my own gaming history I have played through Muramasa several times, but only Momohime's story. Dude, you're missing, like, 65% of the game by only playing one story mode. Each character has three endings, and their stories are almost completely separate.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Yeah I'd consider it beaten for sure.

I agree, though. Beaten is beaten.

Why didn't you play with a different character the next time you played it if you played through it several times?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Yeah I'd consider it beaten for sure.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

1. Dead Space 3* + Awakened (PS3)
2. Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD (WiiU)
* = replay
Phew! Glad that's over with.
Alright so yeah, most Zelda fans are mixed on the 3D games and their preferences. I would say even beyond that, that Wind Waker is honestly one of my least favorite Zelda's in general. Better than Phantom Hourglass (one I couldn't even finish), but probably right there along with Minish Cap... I put all the other games, Zelda II included, above them.
I think a cooler concept here would have been the "ancient Hyrule" raising above waters throughout the game and eventually covering what was mostly water from the start. Would have probably taken a few more years to make, but would have been neat.
I have nothing bad to say about the style, and the story/characters are great in this one (except this is one of the lamer Zelda's herself I'd say), but yeah. Bad controls and mechanics in a handful of parts, ocean here and there and everywhere, the Triforce hunt, not very many dungeons, music isn't really there (should have been a night theme), this one just has some tedious elements to it.
Was great to see in this amped up port though and fun to go through again, but probably one I'll be putting to rest.
