I'm shocked, utterly shocked, that no one has posted "I'd eat that".

Tonight I'll be making another cocktail for a True Blood get-together. I'm not a big fan of the show (though I appreciate the ludicrous writing and subtle nudity) but some of my friends are just about addicted to the show. Not sure if this drink has a name or not, but the girls LOVE it:

Cold glass, with rinsed ice (I always load the glass with ice, pour water in, and drain the water a few times. I know why that gets the glass cold, but I still don't know why almost every drink tastes better with rinsed ice).

1 shot vodka
1 shot orange juice
2-3 shots sprite (7-up tastes too funky for me)
1.5 tsp Grenadine
1 tsp pineapple juice
Squeeze of lime

Garnish with Cherry, pineapple slice, orange slice, and lime slice.

Yup, it's a girl drink, but even though I'm married, it still doesn't hurt to be surrounded by girls.

OJ earlier in the morning, bottle of water now. Been drinking a lot of Coca-Cola lately too, possibly due to Fallout's influence. If they actually sold Nuka-Cola, I would have grown an extra limb by now.

With all the minerals and stuff in the water here, I've noticed that some of it seems to collect on the outside of the cube. If a particular ice cube stays in the bin long enough to start sublimating it will usually taste a bit salty. Maybe that, or your ice maker needs a cleaning.

I've noticed my ice often has a salty exterior. Now I know why.
