Now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

But really, its not as hard as people make it out to be. Sure, still a hard game, but like a platformer, once you play a level a few times you can generally just blaze right through.

Call of Duty: Black Ops on PC. The plot "twist" was dumb. I prefer the Modern Warfare games.

phew, finally got my first beaten game of the year. i was distracted for a bit by yu-gi-oh! world championship tournament 2004 for GBA. i'd played the 2007 edition quite a bit so it was interesting to compare them b/c in the GBA game you unlock new cards after every battle you win, whereas in the DS game you have to earn points to "buy" cards. i'll have to come back to that one b/c the 2004 interface is so much clunkier and battles to get pretty repetitive.

anyway, beat wario land 3 for GBC. hadn't been a big fan of WL2 (despite really enjoying WL1 and VB WL), but thoroughly enjoyed this one, so much so that i had to put it on my "favorite games of all time" list. i wrote up a review on my blog (http://geozeldadude.wordpress.com/2011/ ... ng-landing) if anyone's interested in reading more, but basically despite some minor complaints it has all the hallmarks of a great platformer including nice level design and a lot of variety. definitely recommended.

Wario Land 3 is by far the best of the series. I don't really think the first or second are all that great to be honest. I mean they're okay, but... meh. The third just really figured itself out. The fourth is amazing to look at, but somehow sucks me in less than the third.

castle of illusion - sega
disney's aladdin - sega
the lion king - sega
mickey mania: the timeless adventure of mickey mouse - sega
mickey mania: the timeless adventure of mickey mouse - sega cd

i have both versions of this game and i wanted to play them back to back to see if i could spot any differences. they were beat three or four days apart from each other so i probably did miss some small details. but, the obvious differences, both coming from the cd version, were the extra level and the improved audio. cd quality sounds: ain't nothing wrong with that. in fact, i would go as far to say that the cd version is MUCH better because of the improved audio. the extra level was useless and added shit to the game. overall, the game kicks ass.
if you took a shit, please put it back

    Red Dead Redemption (PS3)
    Demon's Souls (PS3)

    *New*Dead Space: Ignition (PSN)
I'll be frank, this barely qualifies as a game. It's really just a motion comic with some (bland) mini games shoved in. But it was free with my Dead Space 2 pre-order, and it was something light and easy after the dark and hard Demons Souls. It's a direct prequel to Dead Space 2 and tells the story of an engineer as the Sprawl, the location of Dead Space 2, becomes infected with the Necromorphs. The animation is half assed, and you could care less about the characters, but it does reveal a bit about what happened to Isaac after the events of Dead Space, so I was okay with the story over all.

Its not a good game, thats for sure, but I love Dead Space, and I plan on getting the Dead Space 2 (and if Extraction has one) platinum to go along side the first games, so I figure I should at least try for 100% trophies in this too.

Total: 3

Up next?
As I said above, I'm going to try and grab all the trophies in Dead Space: Ignition to complete it 100%, otherwise, I've been playing Speed Racer on the DS, and I'll jump in on Dead Space 2 on the 25th. Might run through Mega Man for DOS if I have the time between now and then as well.
