Wait, I missed out on the Railway Cannon battle? Dangit, I love doing that fight from time to time. Just set me on a job and I'll keep it in check, whether it's applying coolant to the train or loading and energizing shells. Oh well, maybe next time when I feel like playing.

Let me know if you want to play tonight. I may hang back most of the time and provide sniper fire. I sprained my wrist during yoga (probably did a pose incorrectly) and my right hand is really bothering me.

Hope that injury doesn't get serious. And not tonight, since it's a Sunday and I got school tomorrow.

Wrist mobility and comfort is overrated. I ended up playing for 2 hours last night. I may skip the gym tonight and head home right after work. I have a terrible migraine and I'm sure strobing television explosions and gunfire will help it. /sarcasm

ds, where are you? Let's get you through the game.

We tried something different tonight. DS and EvilRyu joined me for some multiplayer free for all.

That was the first time I had played on Desecration. The map is otherworldly with it's nuclear devastation theme, ash drifting from the sky. I read that you can find a nuke equipped mech here, but I didn't find it. Fitting that I was using a Helghast skin. Using VSs was a bad idea as I had my VS master and VS takedown abilities equipped. I set the map to long range weapons so it made for some hair raising sniper battles.

The next map was NEOS. The low gravity makes for some hilarious antics. It was at this point that DS figured out Ryu and I were using Rocket Launcher IIs - nasty unlockables that home in on your enemies. They can be easily snuffed with a well-timed roll, but invincibility rolls won't help if you're drifting in low gravity. *snicker* Again, it was best to stay away from the mechs as they would just attract rockets and were far too slow to get anything done.

Good Games, guys. We need to get some more folks together so we can do a big team match.

Going to try to beat Red Eye on Extreme at some point tomorrow afternoon/night with the guy who filmed the 3-2 boss run. If you guys have unlocked extreme, let me know. I'll see if he wants anymore company.

Extreme is no joke. Ryu and I tried to complete 1-1 last night and it was pretty close to hopeless. If you continue, the game drops you right back into the same level with a shorter battle meter than you may have built up if you had played the entire episode. This puts the team at a severe disadvantage. So much so that you may want to start the ep over again.

I gave multiplayer against people I don't know a try again. I played 2 matches and both were filled with assholes. In one match we were playing a Fugitive game (everyone vs one player). A couple of dicks decided to start team killing... even though there was a 9 second penalty on anyone who did. Finally another guy and myself started hunting them down. One of them finally dropped from the game and the others started behaving.

The other match was a team versus team using the battle gauge. Most of the players jumped to the red team before the match started, resulting in a lopsided match. Out team didn't stand a chance. They overwhelmed us and spawn camped until the timer ran down. I don't think I got a single kill out of that match.

Mushinronja, the guy who shot this video of him and myself running through the bosses at 3-2, shot another video of him, another guy and myself doing the Red Eye boss battle (3-3) tonight. It wasn't much different than hard mode... it just took a lot longer. The train raid leading up to the battle isn't too difficult, either. Play a strong cover game like you're playing a more difficult stage in Gears of War and you'll be fine.
