I personally would not pay that much money for any SNES joystick. Most consumer-grade joysticks of that era were cheaply manufactured. I've taken apart more than a few. Most contain no real arcade components, no clicky joysticks, no leaf switches, et cetera. They're basically oversized controllers.

There are a few exceptions, but they are few and far between.

Agree, the older system "Arcade Sticks" tend to have mushy throws. However a Youtube video shows (though a small controller) the Halken does contain nice tactical feedback clicks; good sign of real switches inside.

@ SNESdrunk - I did find a great SNES Arcade Stick at a much cheaper price.

For an older Arcade Controller, this has very sweet micro switches. Nice tactical feedback, this beats the grey PS1 Arcade stick I see all the time. Has a LCD screen for programming, also indicates stick direction switch and fire button hits.

Sweet! I have that same Coleco Tabletop. That is bizarre, mine also is missing the top "Marque" sticker. Maybe a fragile label that falls off or perhaps a redemption for the store back to Coleco for units that did not sell back in the day?

If any controls act up, there is a very easy fix. Posted a review and breakdown repair.

Wow that thing looks awesomely ugly  I'd love to try it out though, I will keep an eye out for it, thanks!

I guess I haven't posted much. I've been working afternoons this week and haven't hit up the fleamarkets that much. But this is what I got yesterday. At gamestop I got enchanted arms PS3 and Battalion Wars 2 Wii for about $8.00.

Today I made time to go to the fleamarket. I got Kingdom Hearts PS2 for $3.00, Tony Hawk 2 Dreamcast for $2.00, Battle Stations PS1 $2.00, VR Sports Power Racing PS1 $2.00. And sadly an empty box of Legaia 2 :( I got really excited when I saw the game, but when I opened it....NOTHING! Paid a quarter for it. So now I'm on the hunt for a disc only copy of the game! Lastly I got a somewhat rare Dreamcast controller. It has a special logo on it Says "Millennium 2000" on it. I just checked on amazon and its worth over $40! I"m sure most of you already know, but if you find a dreamcast controller with special wording on it, dont take a second to look at it, and buy it. I paid $5.00 for it so I came out quite nice. It came with a vmu so I guess that's even better!

flojo - here comes some rain on your parade...sorry. That controller is worth about $10 - I have literally dozens of the millennium pads. The DC-Direct controllers (Marble, Wood, Camo) are worth about $35-40 at auction. The translucent yellow do $25-30. A few others like the Hello Kitty and RE's can do $25 range. But most translucents only do $10-15.

No prob dude! I got yet another DC controller for five bucks! It will be added to my other 10-15 of them that I have already :P

Ugh. One trip to the flea market and already frustrated. Just too many people out there, and too many guys setting up booths while their buddy does laps around the place starting at 7AM. Think I'm gonna try my idea of taking a drive and finding flea markets off the grid. If this summer is as lackluster as the last, I'll probably just go quality over quantity and buy something online ever once in awhile. Not worth the time with all these people that scoop up EVERYTHING because they don't understand profit margin + time spent does not work out with video games.

I have a "woody", always thought it was worth more too. The finish on the DC Direct controllers have a nice custom finish rivaling custom paint jobs on cars. Still, its not often a special edition Dreamcast controller is spotted at random in the wild so good that you snagged it. Over time the value should increase and you do have a neat controller memorializing the Y2k panic.

Speaking of controllers, I spotted an Orange Spice Gamecube controller for eight bucks. Already have one so I did not snag it, tempted to go back.

Saw Wii Punchout at a Retro store for $19.99 and almost bought it. Pristine case, had the Club Nintendo and separate blue inserts, a shiny brand new condition disc, but no manual! So close, considering how pricey this game has gotten. I have been holding out waiting for Gamestop to drop the price which hopefully will happen as the Wii games get discontinued.

This is what they call a free market. I am not sure how long will this last, but I think we are seeing a spike in videogames prices. Soon there will be just too many games and consoles for them to hold a high price. Just think about it.

There is a combination of 280 MILLION Wiis/PS3/360s , let alone any earlier or later consoles out there. As for games, thats even worse, there are hundreds of games each with multiple hundred thousand copies. Also, digital downloads should kill the price too. I got MGS collection and DMC collection off PSN for example, I was going to pay for the hard copy.

The only thing that worries me is that how many people will let go of their consoles/games in usable state. With Ebay and Craiglist, people ought to sell for low amount of dollars that put them in the trash.
