Switch Discussion Thread
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
This news is apparently a few days old but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a release date of December 1st. I found out when Amazon emailed me the updated delivery date of my pre-order. I'm going to put in for a few vacation days to sink my teeth into it.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Well, finally seeing Switches in the wild. Saw one at Target today.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I saw 3 or 4 of them at Target yesterday. That's as many as I've seen on a shelf since.... well, ever.

Nah, oddly I'm the opposite. Outside of almost exclusively doing my run on Zelda on the TV I've been quite lazy about turning the TV on if it's not on already to use the Switch so I just undock it and get in the comfy chair for awhile with it.
There is the benefit (if I remember it) of popping into the headphone jack a nice set of Altec Lansing speakers around that chair. Metroid 3DS I've been using it with so far and the audio is insane out of them.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Being able to play on either the TV or undocked when I want to relax somewhere else is awfully nice. My system hasn't seen a lot of playtime after finishing Zelda, though. I occasionally boot it back up to try to find a few more shrines; I'm at 104 right now. I've resisted the urge to check maps, but I might actually do that at some point. Either that, or wait until I give in and buy the DLC so I can see where I haven't actually explored.
That being said, I would recommend folks give the Project: Octopath Traveler demo a go. Seems like it's gonna be really cool. It combines SaGa with Bravely Default in a lot of ways.

Finally! Someone else gets the SaGa vibes that I do.

I second people trying the Project Octopath Traveler demo out too. I really enjoyed it. Everything about it feels awesome and it really nails the 16-bit RPG feeling. There's a decent amount of content for a demo too. I noticed after I finished the initial quest, the demo allows you to continue and do some side quests. I haven't tried those yet and I still need to play through as the dancer chick too.

I did Primrose's story the other night (henceforth called Pimprose), but I still need to do warrior dude's story.

You totally missed an opportunity to use the name Pimpsore. Shame on you.
