Just a normal phillips to open it up. Does the picture change when you bend the middle of the cable or the end where it plugs into the 32x? If the latter, it could be a broken joint where the plug attaches to the board or a problem with a pin on the cable.Lokkenjawnz wrote:I do have it hooked up properly, it outputs the video to my TV, it's just a bit off. However, I'm not sure what the symptoms of the ribbon cable problem are, so that could in fact be the problem, could that cause color problems, or a lack of audio? And assuming that is the problem, does the 32x require any special tools to open?
As for the ribbons inside, just unplug them, check for any corrosion and clean off as necessary and be careful you don't bend them when replugging.
