Am I missing something? What happened to the retro market?

I don't understand the question?

The prices are extremely absurd. Conker is not even a rare game to be sold for $80. With such prices then my N64 collection might equal $300 easy and I don't have much. WWF No Mercy is going for $10-$20 , these were so cheap and plenty I think they were sold for $3 in good condition.

My biggest N64 purchase was Majora's Mask(which was an impulse buy) complete with beat up box and manual for $47. Its like a $100 now.

Times certainly have changed

Just picked up a backup Atari 5200 TrakBall for only twenty bucks and there is still one more there!

So tempted to buy the other TrakBall as well for a PC mod. Both of the units have sticking rollers. I took apart the one I bought; an easy fix of cleaning the Pool Ball, roller shafts and lubricating all the roller bearings with a bit of 3in1 oil. TrakBall now has a smooth rapid spin; can't remember if any of the two player games in the 5200 have a two Trakball option.

I hate myself so much now. Went to salvation army to drop off clothes. Just to drop off clothes. Went to furniture store and I promised myself to just play with what I got and syay away from buying stuff.
Well it turns out they had a SNES, and 2 genesis systems and a GameCube with twilight princess inside. 2.99 per 16 bit system and GameCube was 14.99 with 4 controllers and cords. 3 afterarket but I feel it was my duty to save these systems as a gamer. And I have a GameCube already but no parts so now I got the parts I needed but the 16 bit systems were dying lol. Im pissed but I'm not. I know these systems will be taken care of now.
Damn in four days I picked up
SNES
Tg16 with the 5 games
GameCube with twilight princess
2 wii's
2 genesis model 1 systems.
This is crazy lol.

The TG-16 has notoriously cheap, leaky capacitors so it wasn't necessarily abused.

He was talking about SNES and Genesis having issues.

I've never heard of these 'notorious' issues with TG-16s.

Yeah I've never heard or had problems with a tg16. So far except for those two Wii's which has disc read errors, everything works I just need to clean everything up.

The capacitors start to leak causing sound loss. It's kind of hard to find a stock TG-16 in this day and age that hasn't had at least minor leaking even if it hasn't started to effect performance yet. It's pretty common for modders to just replace all the capacitors.
