Justice League:Crisis on Two Earths. Awesome, like most of these DC animated movies are

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I saw "The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day" this weekend. It is significantly inferior to the first, in my opinion. If you like the first one, this one's probably worth watching. If you didn't like the first, stay away from this. Also, don't see it without having seen the first one.
It bothered me a little that there were so many references to the first film. Like, every two minutes someone would say something about the characters and events of "The Boondock Saints". Julie Benz's accent is distractingly ridiculous, but I think that kind of works given the nature of the Saints movies. I did enjoy the story, though, and it revealed a little more about what was going on in the first film.
It felt a lot like watching "Die Hard 2" after watching "Die Hard".

An hour ago I watched the movie Love Exposure (愛のむきだし).
I especially loved the sheer detail in each and every character, the crazy movie length resulting in this and the fact that, it seems the director(s) tryed to create a movie that features, well, pretty much everything. And how did they succeed in doing so!
Anything from desires to believes over to love and resulting insanity.
Coupled with the genious originality and quirkyness of our beloved rising sun country. I couldnt believe my eye's and ears in so many scenes, because I just wasnt quite expecting that. The trailer dosnt even tells you half of it!
The movie has a lot to it, a bunch of deeper things too. Especially the whole premise. I am not a religious person but my mother is, so there is quite a relation to be made.
Somewhere I also read it was voted best movie 2009 in some way or another, and for me its the best movie since years. Hollywood sucks, not much else to say to that. I take a mediocre korean/japanese movie over a western "block buster" movie any day
edit: Oh yea, for someone not resident in japan its hard to tell. But could it be that the "Zero Church" from the movie, sorta mimmicks the japanese scientology and other cults popping up in recent years? I'd really like to know if its just a coincidence.

Just finished watching Defendor. It's a 3 star movie, expected more but given the small budget it could have been worse. Woody Harrelson made this movie.

It's also part of the Films of Blood, the informal name for film adaptations of the short stories from Clive Barker's Books of Blood sextology (Volumes 1-3 are released un a single collection here in the US, while 4-6 were published within another Barker novella (Cabal was one of them).
They also adapted the series' frame story into the film "Book of Blood", and a new Film of Blood, Dread, was released recently. It's part of After Dark Horror Festival 4.

What did you think of it? Most people today have ADD and would never sit through the whole thing.Lord_Santa wrote:Stalker
