Am I missing something? What happened to the retro market?
I don't understand the question?

I started collecting in 2009, right when it was starting to get expensive, but I made an assload of sweet deals during the first 2 years. Now I can only rely on garage sales and flea markets (I'm not talking about the tables with 1000 games on it at ridiculous prices, but the ones with 2 or 3 random games or systems, these are usually the best. I haven't tried the local pawn shops in years but it seems that some of you guys find interesting things there. Last time I went, the guy was looking on ebay for the "value" of a game, right in my face...
There are still deals to be made, we just have to be patient. Now if could just stop snowing with -40°C here, that would be great, I can't wait for garage sales season to begin.

Yes, it's the same specs. I don't have the proper brick for mine and just use a GEN one.

That model 1 Genny AC adapter is so useful, I use it for my Super Famicom as well

I use a PS2 slim PSU with a homemade tip adapter for most of my consoles, it's an amazingly versatile power supply since it outputs enough voltage for most systems and way more than enough current. By itself you can use it for stuff like the Genesis 2, CDX, X'Eye, PC Engine Duo-R, and a few others. The tip adapter I built allows me to use it as a replacement for the model 1 Genesis PSU, so I can use it with the NES, model 1 Genesis, SMS, Famicom and a bunch of other consoles. I even got a splitter so I can use it alongside my tip adapter with my Mega Drive/Mega CD II combo and Famicom/FDS combo.

I never saw one of these before today but I knew about it for a long time due to my Super Street Fighter manual. It's a Genesis controller that was sold by Capcom through mail order. It's an interesting attempt at a fighting game pad.

Stupidly instead of being an insert you'd have to cut the order form off of the back cover of your game manual if you wanted to order it.
The controller itself is kind of nice. The pistol grip is odd but comfortable and the buttons feel really solid and responsive. The build quality is close to the OEM controllers. For $3 at a consignment store it was a nifty oddity to add to my Sega stash.

Six-fifty at Goodwill.
Nicer still, the empty Kingdom Hearts box had three postcards in it and a gift card for Hot Topic which still has ten bucks on it.
Sadly the Ape Escapes have no manuals but the Wii game disc is perfect..does anyone know anything about the postcards btw? Cannot find anything through web searches on them.
