Video Game "Look what I found"

Post by Ashrei »

Here's how my valentines day went guys. Walk into a new flea market & it's like--bam! Games. All shitty snes games. Then I turn the corner and see a 64 display.

And then my heart dropped as i looked inside and got that feeling, that drives us to be collectors. A rare game in a flat rate booth.

Conkers Bad Fur Day. I finally found you, in the wild, you bastard. $10

Along with these 3x rule candidates

(Games worth at least 3x what I paid)

So for $50 I walked out of this flea market with these: ImageImage

Nice score. That's like going on eBay and getting a buy 1 get 4 free deal on N64 games.

Not too damn bad at all! I've been wanting to join some sort of group like that around here, but all we have are "Mom's" groups. My wife sells something everyday pretty much (old clothes, baby stuff, etc.) and I ask her if video games ever pop up. She says never.
Yeah, to be honest most of the stuff is baby crap and woman's clothing. However, I have seen a few game postings. This was the only one that wasn't overpriced so far. They were asking $5 a game, mostly crap, but these gems were in there. When I got to her house she gave me an even better deal.
The last line of this....I died haha

^^^ Ha. Looking back, that actually does sound like a whole other "deal" took place.

And speaking of deals! :D I think this may be my finest score to date. I nabbed this off a Facebook group post for $100. I messaged the guy and said I would happily pay the $100 plus an additional $10 to hold it over night. He did mention that he looked it up on Ebay and felt this was a fair price. No arguments here!

Everything is CIB and in fabulous condition. I couldn't be happier.

Yup. The best part is, I didn't even know the boxes and manuals were included when I initially made the deal. I found that out when he sent the pics to verify condition. This was definitely my day. I never thought I'd find Conker or Smash in the wild for this price, let alone with boxes! 8)

I checked Conker on ebay, it averages around $80. Another guy is selling 6 N64 games for $300.

Am I missing something? What happened to the retro market?
