Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
6 hours into Skyrim and I don't hate it yet. That already makes it the best ES game.

Morrowind is the best Elder Scrolls game. The only thing Skyrim has that Morrowind hasn't is shiny graphics, as it was released almost a decade after it. Gameplay is more important than graphics.

Morrowind is the only ES game I really like anymore.Menegrothx wrote:Morrowind is the best Elder Scrolls game. The only thing Skyrim has that Morrowind hasn't is shiny graphics, as it was released almost a decade after it. Gameplay is more important than graphics.
On the graphics issue, that's why some good people made Graphics Overhaul 3.0

Older. Not wiser.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
If it weren't for the pretty graphics, I'd probably be much less interested in playing and exploring. The same shitty gameplay from ES3 and ES4 is here, and I still cringe anytime I have to do combat, ride a horse, etc. Thus far the story, graphics, and world are much more immersive than in either of those. I'm hoping to play as an archer as much as possible and avoid the shit melee and magic systems like the plague.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Morrowind is the only ES game I really like anymore.Menegrothx wrote:Morrowind is the best Elder Scrolls game. Just found out that there's a completely reworked Korean version of Ys II called Ys II Special.

I would be watching The Chicago Bulls games on TV while I was playing my NBA 2K13 Season all the time. It was great.Luke wrote:Live baseball on the tv and VG Baseball (I prefer MLB 2005) on a nearby monitor is gravy.

Look at the rare articles and then look those up for reviews.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
That shows expensive games on both sides, and I'm not looking for that. Rare US games, but common in PAL. I'm going to see if my borhter will pick me up a few games while he's still in Germany.Hobie-wan wrote:Look at the rare articles and then look those up for reviews.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Oh sorry I misread.
The thing is, you can't play PAL NES and SNES games on the real systems. Clones might work. I can play my PAL Over Horizon on clone systems ok, but I'm not sure about other games working properly, if at all. Well maybe if the lockout is disabled.
