I went to the park today after school with a bag of unsalted nuts to feed the squirrels today. I had about 30 squirrels following me through the park. I stopped to feed the ducks and a bunch of birds swooped down when they realized I had food and would fly up and take food out of my hand. Then when I stopped to pull more nuts out of the bag about 5 birds flew up and landed on me and just chilled there until I started moving. I wish I would have gotten pics from the guy that was sitting there taking pictures of the whole thing.
Overall it was awesome and I'm going to start doing that more often. 4 bucks for a couple hours worth of entertainment? Yes please.

My ten-year reunion is this Saturday, but I'm still feeling under the weather. Still trying to figure out whether or not to go.
I mean, I was teased and tormented in high school and made it seem like I was better than them. And most of them have moved out and I'm still technically living with (one of) my parents. It'd be one thing if I'd already moved to NYC and was at least working on my first feature film, but knowing I've essentially done nothing in ten years (aside from moving to Florida and working at Walt Disney World while also homeless) makes showing my face to people I've prided myself on being superior to and saying I've essentially floated through life.

Thanks all for the condolence and kind words. Here's the story in today's Iowa City paper (where I did my PhD) that gives a nice overview of his work and legacy: http://www.press-citizen.com/story/news ... /15478573/aaron wrote:very sorry for your loss, dave.
