So, I was in my local Gamestop a few hours ago buying GTAV on PS4 for my wife for Christmas (yes, she actually asked for it) and stumbled across an amazing deal.
I looked in their DS case and they had new "used" copies of Dragon Quest IV, V, Final Fantasy IV, Zelda Phantom Hourglass, and Zelda Spirit Tracks. I went ahead and bought DQ IV, V, and FFIV. The best part is that they were B2G1 Free, so I paid a total of 45.00. I'm hoping they still have the two Zelda games when I get paid in two weeks.
The best part is that I already have an incomplete DQIV which I hope to sell for around $30 to recoupe some of the cost of what I spent.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
went to an arcade auction in Fort Wayne yesterday. most of the stuff was going for really silly prices, but i did manage to pick up some project pieces for $82.50 total.
Robotron 2084 cabinet converted to DJ Boy
Spy Hunter dedicated, needs a board
Sega Turbo with board issues
Centipede cabinet converted to a Capcom Bowling
pulling the DJ Boy board and trading the cabinet to a friend of mine for a "grail" PCB later next week, stay tuned. took the (working) monitor from the Capcom Bowling and the PCB, then bundled that cabinet and the Turbo (and another project i had) for $100, which is a net profit for me if you don't really factor in transportation costs...
gonna restore the spy hunter because, god damn, i love spy hunter.

Who doesnt? Bob Roberts might still have parts if you need them. I know he had them when I last worked on a Spy Hunter that I foolishly traded away.aaron wrote:gonna restore the spy hunter because, god damn, i love spy hunter

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
A very literal "look what I found":
I bought an old NES with no cords at a thrift store 6+ months ago figuring I'd clean it up at some point down the road. Turns out a friend wanted one for her husband for Christmas so I got to work on it recently. Opened it up and found a battered copy of Super Mario Bros 2, which I don't have yet! I had to laugh because I somehow never lifted the lid all this time until now.
PS: SMB2 is one of those games I justnever felt comfortable paying $10-15 for given that you just have to think you'll eventually find it at some point.

anyways my mom needed me to go to a thrift store and its near a pawn I don't get to go to a whole lot so I grabbed.
Final Fantasy X/X2 HD (PS3) - $9
Ducktales Remasted (WiiU) - $9
Mario & Sonic @ Sochi Winter Games (WiiU) - $9
than I had to head over to the best buy and buy GCU, its on sale for $30 this week but I had $10 in rewards so I paid $20.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Scored a complete copy of Tetris DS for $4 at a thrift store today. This store typically has little to no games, so that was a nice surprise.

Visited 1/2 Price Books today and stumbled upon a CIB
Lufia: Ruins of Lore plus inserts for $15. Box is probably around a 7 but everything else is in great shape.
Plus got a new replacement 64Drive cart in the mail today, mine wasn't working, and tomorrow my newly modded NES 2.0, got AV w/TRRS and LED mods done, should arrive so a nice couple of days.
