It was both. She looks great in it. And the cinematography is fantastic. It has good ideas in the beginning and end but the middle is mindless yet fun popcorn fluff.

I sat across from her from at Disney on a bus between parks back around 2006. You forget they're just people sometimes, but yeah... she was stunning in person with minimal fix up. What was funny was she hadn't blown up yet. I was the only person in our group who knew who she was! I was a big fan of her in The Island.

She's Vince's crush in that first season of Entourage. That was when they didn't have big names asking to do cameos yet. I think that nudge helped push her over the edge.

I still haven't seen Ghost in a Shell either, but I never watched the anime.

Watched The Neon Demon. It was.....ok? I thought it was not near as good as Only God Forgives, Drive, or Bronson, though...which would make it my least favorite Refn pic so far. I dug some of the choices for visuals and the score was mostly on point...but the story was a bit piecemeal, even for a Refn flick. I think part of the problem is that I came into it expecting something a lot seedier and violent (and provocative) than what I got, which may be more on me than it is on the film. Still, a bit of a let down.

Yeah maybe just expectations. I went into it knowing nothing and with no idea what to expect and really enjoyed it.

I expected not a horror film. I was shocked (in a good way). Also, Keanu Reeves!

Enter The Fat dragon

This is on youtube and it's mix of "this is so bad that it's good" and genuine quality. This movie has that very strange sort of Chinese humor which makes it really charming and the fight scenes range from decent to pretty cool. Especially last fight with the ring weapon was really good.

6/10

The Guyver

The monsters look really good and it's cheesy fun until it turns to more of action film. Then it starts to get boring but i still think it's worth for people that like cool looking monsters and there's really good "transformation scene" at the end.

Your description sounds like Kung-Fu Hustle! I think I would like this movie.

Plus Mark Hamil. This felt like Mark was trying to avoid getting pigeon holed as Luke Skywalker, but wound up acting in the amaericanization of some weird-Japanese-pseudo-power-ranger-monster-action flick. Who was Mark's agent? Who told him to take this role?

Last night I watched I, Tonya. I'm not sure that I have sufficiently processed this movie enough to give a full review. I can say that Margo Robbie is a fantastic actress. Mostly, this film is full of WTF moments. I lost count of the number of times I uttered aloud, "what the fuck am I watching?" It's not exactly a good movie, but it's a movie that damn sure left and impression on me.

I'm very interested in I, Tonya. How did you watch it? Where is it available, or is it still in theaters?

I, Tonya is currently playing in theatres. I'm lucky to have artsy-fartsy theatres here in Richmond where I can watch stuff like I, Tonya or Shape of Water on the big screen.

Yeah, there is an art house theater near me called the Tara that is currently playing it, Lady Bird, and Three Billboards. It's one of several theaters like that in Atlanta, though it tends to show more "artistic" works. You gotta hit up some of the others for Yakuza films and the like.
