You have to be careful with that game. You can get yourself to a point where you are completely screwed, because your units are all too low of health to beat the upcoming map.
I'm making sure to get all the items I can exchange for Morale, and I have plenty of save files, but the universe doesn't want me to beat this game. I spent an hour on a map yesterday and the PSP crashed while playing the victory theme.

Lately I have been plugging through Wild Arms 3. I am deep into the second chapter and having a good time with it. The horseback battles are a favorite of mine, and I enjoy the upgrade system for everyone's ARMs, though the price gets steep fast.
I played a fair amount of Lands of Lore over the weekend. Compared to other dungeon crawlers of the time it's got a real heavy story focus and not much exploration (you pretty much can only go into areas that the plot is ready for you to pursue). It's also got a Dungeon Master style real time combat system. It does suffer a bit from obtuseness that most CRPGs suffered from at the time. You don't know if equipment is an upgrade until you try it on and some equipment has hidden effects you can't see. This is worse in stores, where you know that an item the store sells is the best item it sells because it has the highest price, but you don't know how it compares to what you currently have equipped. Useable items that aren't the simple curatives sold in a store give you no indication of what they might do, so you're left to save and experiment. And occasionally there are puzzle solutions that make you go "Oh, I didn't realize I could use <item/spell> on that." Most of these things are solved with the official cluebook, but it seems like something you would want in the manual (statistics, what a spell can do), not in the same reference as near-walkthroughs.
Oh, and Patrick Stewart plays the king and narrator.

I am finished with Ys seven now and finished my summer of Ys. Unfortuantely by playing and beating the Ys games I find myself wanting more but there is no more. So I am going to try and tackle a TRPG next. Either Jeanne D'Arc on the PSP or Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3.
Either way I have tried to start Final Fantasy Tactics at least four times in my life and all four times Professor Daravon has put me to sleep (literally).
Beating a TRPG is on the bucket list so I am going to give it a shot.
