Smile: I'll be starting college at DigiPen on Tuesday! Super excited about that!
Frown: I have just been really anxious and depressed over the past week or so, and it's not really related to worrying about starting school. It's too complicated/personal to get into on a forum, but I just want to apologize in advance if I seem especially down lately.

All anxiety and depression aside, that's actually really awesome! Congratulations on getting into such a tough school! And if you're gonna end up in the Seattle area, there's quite a few Racketeers in the area, like Popo and JT. You're gonna be pretty busy with school for DigiPen, but if you need some advice on how to get around the city or something, I'm sure folks here will be happy to help out.lisalover1 wrote:Smile: I'll be starting college at DigiPen on Tuesday! Oh, I forgot that they lived there! Neat, I'll be sure to ask them! I live in Redmond right now, so it is still about a half an hour away from the city, but I'm going to need to figure out a fast way to get to Seattle on a regular basis soon for some appointments. So, I'll ask them what might be some good/fast public transportation routes to get there.Ack wrote:All anxiety and depression aside, that's actually really awesome! Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Going from the east side to Seattle is a pain, no two ways about it. There are two main routes, 520 and I-90, and both have bad delays at any proximity to rush hour. In terms of public transportation your only option right now is the bus system, which recently got slashed (they wanted to pay for it by increasing the taxes on vehicle tabs, and people driving vehicles don't want to spend money on buses), so you'll probably have to do some dancing to figure out the right routes and it'll probably involve a fair amount of walking/transfers on each end.

I'm in the same boat lisalover1. I'm back taking classes myself this year, but I really don't know what to make of 2014.
That's awesome you're going to Digipen though.

So I'm moving to Austin in like 3 weeks.
For reals this time.
Pretty much have the apartment lined up and everything, just waiting for some paperwork to get sorted out.

now to deal with the horrors of driving a u-haul while towing a car
(seriously driving on the highway in the city while towing that is a scary proposition.)

Don't forget about me! Also I work at a game company which might help once you graduate.Ack wrote:All anxiety and depression aside, that's actually really awesome! I've driven some big U-Hauls, but never towed a car with it too. Drive slowly, be safe.AppleQueso wrote:now to deal with the horrors of driving a u-haul while towing a car
