Yeah, my local kmart never has anything good, and never marks down old stuff. They're still trying to sell old DS games for original MSRP. No wonder that ship is sinking.
Hey Flojo, out of curiosity, how do thrift shops/flea markets south of the border compare to ours stateside?

my local store is closing, but the town I work in has 2 and since I was going to best buy on that side of town I fiqured why not stop in. Plus I still had $6 left in points and I never know if sears/kmart is just gonna run out of town and I lose my $6 (don't laugh it happened to our local dominoes pizza)
I did noticed some skylanders giants fiqure packs were being clearanced again so I plan to keep checking back on those.

My kmart is also closing

In mexicali where I live, Thriftstores are kinda rare. There are buildings that sell used things, but its all for profit. There are no charities involved.
But what we do have is a traveling fleamarket. Every day of the week in different parts of the city, on a main road or a side road theres a fleamarket. Some are about a mile long. But there are a few popular ones that are even longer.
They are moved around constantly. There's a sellers union and some pay only to go once or twice a week to sell. Others do it daily and everyday, they are in different parts of town.
Some sell fruits and veggies, others new clothes, others random stuff.
When it comes to videogames, its a mixed lot. Some dont know what they have and sell it cheap or reasonable.
Others are resellers and they try to cheat you out of money. They say they can get a game for you but they would charge you higher.
"You have to pay, because you cant cross the border and I have connections."
Its not exactly what they say but you get the feeling of this when they try to sell a poor mexican kid a copy of fifa for PS2 for about 18 bucks.
I never bought of off them, and I never will.
Some of them are still carting around the same games for years now! I've seen lots of beat up, rusty contacts, faded labels of NES, SNES and Genesis games. They may have been worth something a few years back, but now they are sad useless things.
At the end of every sale day, they are tossed back in their milkcrates and shoved off to the next days street sale.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
but all is not lost. There can still be good things to be found.
I forgot to mention there are some indoor fleamarkets too. But the same thing applies. Some sell fairly and some not.
here are some of my notable finds, I'm sure I have more, but I cant remember all of them.
Right now its 13 pesos to make 1 dollar. have fun doing the math
mod chipped playstaton $50 pesos
Raiden project manual and disc, no longbox $40 pesos
Supermario All stars SNES $80 pesos
Vay sega cd disc only $70 pesos
I need to hit them up. I've not been to one in a few weeks
