hi I think im way overdue on joining this forum. been a lurker on the site since..i can't even recall.

console history (in order of acquisition): 2600, nes, gb, snes, ps1, ps2, ds, psp, 360, wii, vita tv, av famicom
though what remains currently is just the famicom, wii, psp, 360 and vita tv.
I did get a FC Twin (Japanese version) recently so I consider myself having a snes/sfc as well.
games I play: mostly fighting games (what my 360 is basically for), scrolling shooters, 2D platforming.
retro game collection: about 56 famicom games (multicarts included), 20 sfc games (hoping to add more soon)

Hi. I joined in February but haven't actually been on this thread yet. I'm very happy to be a part of this forum.

Now, I have a simple question for anybody that can help. I hope this is the right thread in which to ask. If not, I apologize in advance.

I've run across a couple of newer users who joined either around the same time as me or later. What surprises me is their post counts. Is there some incentive to posting 200+ times in 2 weeks? Is there some sort of prize for members who have high post counts?

Just curious. If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd very much appreciate it.

No prize. Your "bit" rating increases as you reach certain milestones, but you can take your time getting there. (It took me years to achieve "next gen" status.)

Yeah there isn't really anything of importance in posting more or less. Some people just get enthusiastic and gung-ho when they join, which is perfectly acceptable.

I didn't think there was anything other than that. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing out on anything. Thanks for the input. I'll just continue reading and posting at my leisure.

Well I've not posted in this topic but probably should since i'm still technically new If you've seen any of my stuff I've posted I'm a nintendo and playstation geek. With slowly trying to get more playstation stuff that I don't have. Which i'm going to have to wait on the playstation stuff until I move out but I'm still semi collecting for my vita and have a decent amount of games i need that have just come out or getting ready to come out. I still have a lot to learn to get decent deals(and some scouring to do since one store I thought of has closed and been replaced by a church apparently).

@ vatermuzik- I'm honestly confused as to why you even feel the the slightest bit of concern or tension over the posting habits of other new users? It happens everywhere on every board, some people like posting a lot, some like posting a little and some just lurk... it's best to just do what you and not worry

@ cha cha - My initial question was legit and it was purely out of honest curiosity.

As for the last post, I was just playing. Maybe it was in bad taste and if so, forgiveness please. I've come across many other users having fun with each other in the exact same manner. It certainly wasn't meant to hurt any feelings. I'm sorry if you or anyone else mistook my neutral face as malicious. No hard feelings here.
