Dont you have a CPS2 machine in your collection, you could throw MvC1 on that now for $100-150, and upgrade the Naomi later?
yeah i converted the dynamo with Puzzle Fighter that i got for $80 into a Marvel Super Heroes, so that will have to do for now. but i think MvC2 is the next purchase, we can build a CP no problem. ikaruga is on the pipeline as well.
Buy one of the CPs of ebay made out of galvanized steel. They wont rust if beer spills on them and you can get the art to be for your arcade, or generic.
I know lots of people who have bought them and no one has any complaints, they all say they are better than the original.

thanks for the tip! we have a local metal shop who can craft stuff like that for us, they're actually making another couple CPs for the CPS2 Dynamo so we can swap some games out in that one as well. i wonder if there are any pre-made plans?
Id just take off your VT one and gut it. Take it to them and say where you want the buttons for a 2l12b setup. They should be able to do it quickly. Depending on cost Id get a 2l8b aswell. MVS is always popular.
aaron, I can do that NAOMI buy whenever yr ready, just hit me up w/a PM. MvC2 would be like $130-135~ to your door.
I can grab any of those CPS2 fighters you want as well but i'm not gonna advertise for everyone as they are a pain to ship. MvC green board is like $60 and then shipping and fees, probably $85~ to your door. CPS2 kick harnesses are readily available for cheap and connect to JAMMA harnesses quick and easy. The NAOMI harnesses aren't as available and are a bit more complicated.
Also - that cab is an amazing find. Truly.
I'll agree with Fast on the ebay panels from thegameroom (Ken, Utah). I have 2 and they hold up incredibly well. I think mine were $60 or so and for the time, measuring, and work, you might come out ahead buying them - worth pricing out for sure.
I stopped after work at a Savers and was shocked to find a stack of Odyssey2 games for sale. This is the first time I've ever seen Odyssey2 anything in the wild outside of retro stores and reseller booths. I picked up everything that was available for about $35 total. I know nothing about the Odyssey2, so I don't know if this was a good price for the lot. I figured "Why not?" since I'd probably never find this stuff again in the wild. All but four of the games are CIB, the rest of missing the manual. I figured these games were donated as someone's old game collection so I searched the store for the console, but it either hadn't gone out on the floor yet or had already been sold.

As luck would have it, I have a console that's gathering dust. PM'd
still have the board and marquee, just pulled the control panel overlay off of the cab. it was crusty and gnarly anyway, and i want this machine to be a dedicated capcom cab. it will be puzzle fighter again many, many times.
