They effectively packed in huge amounts of information in ways that were brilliantly executed and didn't feel ham-fisted or out of place with its tone. The presentation was great and one of the few special effects heavy movies that feels natural and fitting to the movie's spirit. I absolutely adore it and would agree with folks on saying that it is the wachowski's best!
Yay! Another Speed Racer fan! I really loved the movie's art direction, and you should be sure to read some of the fascinating articles arguing for its critical redemption.
This one was a riot. If you are expecting solid Americanized version of Death Note then turn away but if you are in for something that is unintentionally hilarious then this is for you. Watching this version Kira made me laugh out loud couple of times and this quickly became one of my favorite guilty pleasures flicks. I was expecting it to be bad in painful way but this was just gold.
Rosemary's Baby = excellent. Unnerving subtly at its finest.
Suspiria = all style and no substance. I guess it's one of David Argento's most popular films. It was worth a watch, had some hilarious moments, cool directing and lighting, but yeah. Was ready for it to be over about halfway in. I liked Tenebre more. One of my friends likes Phenomena the most so I'll probably watch that one next.
