Ragnarok Online is deeper than D3.

I was thinking about taking another stab at Torchlight, I'm not touching D3 until the stutter stops.

Ys: ToiF is pissing me the hell off. Why can't I go back and grind for boss battles without reverting to a game save from half an hour earlier? Why can't I pause during boss battles? If it weren't for those two things, I don't think I'd have any complaints, but they make the game so goddamn frustrating.

I'm not really sure what you mean in regards to your first point. You can save anywhere in ToiF, right? Just save in front of the boss door and if you need to grind simply walk around the dungeon for awhile fighting enemies.

Not being able to pause during boss fights is a feature of most Ys games. I kinda like it, keeps you on your toes.

Not unless I'm missing something. Not that it would help me once I've triggered the battle anyways.

Ah, so ToiF must have those shiny grey "save monuments," my apologies. I haven't played that game in about a year.

But damn some of those bosses were hard, especially dat fire beast.

Yeah! I think that's the boss I had the most trouble with.

I hated the way that he could plow you across the map with his nose and take out 50-80% of your life in one go. I didn't have a ton of trouble dodging his attacks in theory, but one or two small fuckups could easily ruin the entire attempt.

I still think Chester was harder, though.

Yeah Chester was an a-hole. I think I finally defeated him simply by power-leveling + button-mashing. Ys VI and Seven also feature similar quick small human bosses that can be pretty tough.

I liked Ys: ToiF, it is way better than the snes version that I played 20 years ago. The kids did not like it though. They thought it was too hard. The boss that gave me the most trouble was Gyalva, Lord of the Blazing Prison. My hands are not as nimble on the psp-3000 as they are on the Playstation controller so between that boss and Chester the second time I had a few game overs.
