Re: WELL THIS IS INTERESTING.. Retron 5
I have a converter that will allow NES games to be played on a Famicom (it came with this Famiclone). Works flawlessly on the Retron 5.
What's odd is that I can't get my Gyromite converter to work. Maybe it just needs a good scrub.

Huh. Might be my converters. Yobo for the NES to Fami, and the ultra generic "Game Converter" for my Fami to NES didn't work. Yet, both worked on official setups. For grins and giggles, I put both together with a NES games on top in a top loader, and it worked.
But no, neither allowed my game to be recognized on the Retron 5.

That's super weird....I'm going to try this when I get home just for shiggles.

So I am in the process of getting some NES and Genesis replacement cart slots, does anything know where I can pick up a SNES replacement slot?

YES!! Don't much care about Master System since I have a Power Base Mini and don't have any card games (yet), but I'm HYPED AS FUCK about Game Gear.

About time! I might actually start picking up some game gear games now.

I'm considering that since I'm having trouble just finding a redesigned model for a good price anywhere now. They're going for real cheap on eBay now, plus I wouldn't have to deal with the colossal pain of moving all my save data to an SD card (as well as having another R5 to deal with). I'm not using that Famicom slot for anything.
