ColecoVision Flashback $39.99 ToysrUs
Yes I got one over a month early, even beat the preorder customers!

Over at Atari Age is where I found out about these appearing early. A different ToysRUs had them on the shelf tagged at $39.99. I had tried to get a price match remembering seeing it some where for $29.99. The Sales Clerk could not find it at the ToysRUs website, nor show any of their authorized competitors. Then the cashier told me they could not ring it up due to not supposed to be out until October! My guess is for all the preorder customers to claim theirs? I stood my ground stating its on the shelf and I want to buy one now. I ended up paying $39.99 and with option of price adjustment later if competitor ad found. I was thrown off by the price at Atari Age which had a picture showing it at $29.99, Turns out at the other TRU, it was stocked above a CD Boombox price label!

Ah well still happy to get it early, ooooh I am loving discovering Jumpman Jr again; one of my favorite games on the Commodore 64.

Get yours while you can, ToyrUs is pulling these from the shelves until October 1st. That is if any left after the preorder customers gets theirs. Hope others get an early score, Good Luck!

I really, really wish those systems had cart slots. Then they would be "must buys" for me.

The gameslist for it means all but four of my Coleco games are now replaced. Sadly DonkeyKong/DKJR will not be on it, nor will Memory Manor or Buck Rodgers. But now my Adam Coleco can stay in storage next to my Apple ][+.

Any chance of a PCB shot?

I'd love Sega to do a Sega Flashback for the Sega Master System. I wonder what's stopping them?

I would say the desire to make money ;) the system was a terrible seller originally so there is no built in nostalgic market to tap into.

Weird how the Genesis Flashback has a cart slot and none of the others. I was hoping the latest Atari Flashback would have the cart slot considering Flashback 2 (though by a different manufacturer) had mod capability connections inside. Even with no cart slot a forty dollar Coleco or Intellivision unit with 60 built in games or 100 games for the latest Atari is not a bad price though, the emulation is well done.

RUN, RUN - Hit the ToysrUs stores before Flashbacks are removed until October! A chance many have a preorder reserve.

@ Fragems - Nice Finds!

perhaps in the US but I'd be shocked if there wasn't one already in Europe or at least Brazil where it was wildly popular. Haha I think that Brazil's main system is still the Master System.

CRT, is Mouse Trap one of the built in games on the Coleco clone?
