The big CD cases are cool to look at, but man, do they take up room and are they easy to break, or what? In most cases, I've come to appreciate smaller packaging.

One area where I don't like it as much is Sony going slightly shorter on their PS3/PS4 cases. They don't fit neatly into one of my little DVD racks, which is annoying.

Eh, at least they're consistent between PS3/PS4/BR.

For some reason I have a special fondness for old Genesis cases.
I review (mostly old) games at: The Annals of Retrodom.

Oh, right, Blu-Ray is also shorter. Guess they needed something to differentiate beyond color from DVD cases.

The old Genesis hard cases were pretty awesome.

I really liked the PS1 long boxes. Especially the cardboard/hardplastic ones. Sucks that they did away with those.

I like that the US and JPN games look so different.

Not me. Has there ever been a case of the American box art being better?

My Chinese copy of Moe Chronicle for Vita FINALLY got here today. I ordered that from Play-Asia over a month ago, and it FINALLY got here. The dialogue is in Japanese, but the subtitles are in both Chinese and English. That will probably be the JRPG I play after Megadimension Neptunia VII (though Fire Emblem Fates takes priority once that comes out).

1. Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within (XBOX)
2. Contra: Hard Corps

A local game store had a complete copy recently. My friend had the cart and was looking for the box and manual. I was just interested in the game, so I basically got the game for $40.

I have been looking for this one for quite a while, so I'm finally glad to continue my Contra journey!
