Yeah, I really don't see any point in discussing games that are only temporarily free. I mean there's no point in turning the thread into a PSN Plus advertisement

If it's free and it's a game, it goes away. If it's free and it's not a full game, it stays with you. Pretty simple.Breetai wrote: A list of free things that you can keep is what is needed. Something that expires after a month, unless you pay for it, is not free.
Besides, how many of those games do you actually boot back up again? Of the 60 or so games I have on my PS3, I rarely return to any of them. Hell, it's been months since I've even booted up Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Just look at them as free rentals. Really, really long rentals.

Really doesn't seem to be a bad game in this whole welcome back package. Infamous grabbed my interest right from the get go and at the moment I'm having a blast(no pun intended) with Super Star Dust HD

Pretty impressed with Wipeout so far! Loving the visuals and all the modes and... wow, is this like sci-fi Gran Turismo? Haha, tons and tons of stuff to unlock.
It's pretty damn hard though, even on Novice I'm barely getting Bronze/Silver medals in normal races.
Devastator mode kicks ass.

Re: PSN is back!
I did a few races and found myself always in 7th or 8th place so I went to gamefaqs.com to look at the board/guides. One thing I learned is that the accelerator is pressure-sensitive and they recommend that you change this behavior. Also, you should turn off auto-guide as it will slow you down. I definitely recommend looking at the guides to understand the behavior of the game since it doesn't seem it comes with any manual.Xeogred wrote: It's pretty damn hard though, even on Novice I'm barely getting Bronze/Silver medals in normal races.

Also try other events than the first race - I was pretty easily able to clear everything -but- the initial race for the first series of events (even the other race). Then the game locked up on me :/

I suggest turning off assist and setting throttle and air brakes to 10%. Pressure sensitivity goes out the window when you reach Phantom class. Hell, you may want to abandon the analog stick in favor of the dpad.
Re: PSN is back!
I'll definitely turn off auto-assist then. I noticed double tapping the shoulder buttons for the quick turn maneuver is pretty good to use as well.

Played Dead Nation today. The aiming controls are a bit difficult but I'll get used to it. I also got a free Sega Genesis theme that is really awesome. You guys should go check it out!
