There's nothing more I want than kids. Not the movie, which is good, but my own kid.

Smile: Met a spunky gal while at a museum function and for quite some time we shared bon mots and also business cards.

She works with the local March of Dimes, an organization I donate to each year. Well, I got an email from her last night and I'll be helping with their marketing efforts. Really looking forward to raising money for such a good cause.

Irons in the fire I have.

You and I are in the same boat, Luke. All I want to be in life is to be a father. I love the ups and downs and the mystery that is who my future children will be. I am not going to be some controlling person, but not a completely free dad. I will give advice and have a genuine interest in my kids' lives, planting the seeds hopefully for them to be willing to talk and come to me as a parent.

I seriously have no other life goals, no real career desires. I just really want to be a dad. Fingers crossed!

I have always wanted to have one or two kids (always thought I'd make a good mommy :P ), but I'm not in any hurry. I totally understand the sentiment for those who would rather not, though.

I have no shame in saying that's been a struggle. Ovulation issues, abnormal sperm...a slew of "ain't going to happen" stuff. Yet my wife has suffered two miscarriages, so we know despite what we've been told, she can get pregnant, but luck has not been in our favor.

We'll try in vitro once we can fit that into our budget, as it's not cheap.

I'm open to adoption, but keeping my mouth shut for now. Will try for our own kid, but I would certainly welcome a kid in need into my home. The process is nuts though.

I am happy to be a father and my wife is a great mom and my son is the most important thing in the world to me... but my wife and I are both firmly in the "one and done" camp. He's wonderful and we hit paydirt on the first go, so why tempt fate?

There's nothing in the world quite like siblings. Whether that's good or bad. I couldn't imagine not having a brother. In fact, I wish I had more of them.

I restate again...because that is the EXACT same situation we are in. Two miscarriages and all.
