Be a teacher because you want to mold young minds; your focus should be on job satisfaction to make it through just how terrible we are at paying teachers.

This is also another reason why I don't consider being a teacher an option. I imagine if I was someone else, I wouldn't want me warping kids' brains.

Also, kids are assholes. I know. I was (am?) one.

I was considering going into teaching then had that epiphany of "Wait a minute... I hate kids!"

Yeah... soon as I finish paying off my renovation (which keeps getting delayed because, frankly, I'm an idiot who has lost all self-control everywhere -- spending too much money, eating like an idiot, not working out like I should be... so that's a big :( /  on my part that I really just need to flip the switch in my brain and fix before it goes from "mildly annoying" to "an actual problem") I'm making the appointment to get fixed. I'm 32, I have accepted that I have absolutely zero desire to have kids of my own and nothing's going to change that.

So I hear you on that epiphany.

I effing love kids. Think I'm gonna substitute-teach one day per week come the next year (by "next year" I mean next school year, which is like 4 weeks away).

You could just save money and an invasive surgery and use a condom.

I do, every time, even when I'm in a committed relationship with a girl who's on BC. But they're not perfect. Plus with health insurance vs a lifetime of condoms, who's to say which is more expensive? And it's minimally invasive, it's outpatient surgery. Tubes tied, that's invasive, but vasectomy is minimally invasive

:? My basement (where all my games now live) is as damp as my ass crack so I'm gonna have to invest in a good dehumidifier. I feel like I'm just hemorrhaging money at this point.
