So I did lie, ended up going by goodwill on my way to pay off my balance for planet fitness(since I finally got the right card that it would accept to do the monthly fee the right way) and picked up 7 movies(mostly stuff from my childhood, along with batman forever and batman and robin, and mrs doubtfire :D ) and ended up finding myst for pc with a near immaculate disc cib just needs the front clear part replaced since as usual one hinge is broken. Can't wait to play this once we're through the summer game challenge(which I really need to start focusing on soon). Might need a second atlantic shelf though so I can move all my movies off this shelf

Basically $4 total with her only charging me 50 cents for the game for some odd reason even if it's the old win 98 game it'll work fine on my xp laptop :D

Weird, ZombiU is $10 brand new at my local Kmart. It's also around $13 on Amazon, free shipping. You paid $30? :O

Let me see, I hit a local community yard sale today then I went to 2 flea markets. I pretty much failed at the flea market because I woke up 3 hours late. I was planning on leaving the house at 7am but woke up at 10am. When I got to the first flea market at 11:30 it was already disbanding so I couldn't get anything there. However, I did stop at the community yard sale before hitting the first flea market when I picked up all these NES games.

A lady who had to be my grandmother's age was selling these at her table. She told me she just got her garage cleaned out for the first time in years and these games had to be what her son left behind years ago since he sold the others. I only wanted 4 of them originally but she said I could have them all for $25 so I took them. I already have Chip & Dale, Metroid and Turtles so I'll most likely sell or trade those. I really wanted Mega Man 2 out of the lot since I had been looking for that one for a while now.

I also picked up this Gamecube bag for 4 dollars.

Image

At first I saw a boatload of controllers and bag. Before I could get a better look inside the bag the person selling it came over and said it was 4 dollars. I really wanted the bag since I travel with my game systems a lot so I just decided to buy . It wasn't until I got home that I noticed that it had more surprises inside of it.

Image

It had a Gamecube with 4 controllers plus all the cords to it. I kinda wish I'd known the Gamecube was in the bag or else I would have just brought the bag alone since I already have a Gamecube. I guess I'll use that as a trade or sell. I'll keep most of the controllers however since I always need controllers.

This here is all I found at the 2nd flea market (with the exception of Donkey Kong Country). By the time I got there most of the stuff had been picked though so I brought two random games since they were only a couple of dollars and a clean copy of NBA Jam that I had been looking for. Most NBA Jam's I've seen are in really poor shape. I also brought a 6 button Genesis controller from one of the vendors for a dollar. The Donkey Kong Country I brought at a local retro game store that I go to after I finish hunting for games. The owner is really cool and since I'm in there a lot he knows me now and offered me Donkey Kong Country for $5 which I had been looking for a bit for a while now too.

On my way home I stopped at a Goodwill I always do wonders at and found only one game. I've heard good things about the game but never played it. It was only $2 so I figured why not.

Awesome. Blaster Master and Duck Tales are classics on par with Mega Man 2 (Duck Tales shares its music composer with Mega Man 2 even). NES Double Dragon is fun for what it is and has a brilliant soundtrack. Really nice lot you snagged there.

^ Good NES gets, Konacha.

Here are my pickups from the last week:

Image

Courtesy of my favorite thrift store:

GBA Games w/cases:
Super Mario Brothers 3
Spyro 2: Season of Fire
-$3.18 total

PC Games:
FEAR
Hellgate: London
Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30
Commandos 3
-$1.70 total

Goodwill:
Typing of the Dead
-$3.35

I wasn't going to go into Goodwill today since they haven't had anything for quite some time, but I'm glad I didn't do that. Other than the case being broken on the lower right hand corner (I have replacements, yay!) it's in great shape. Now I just have to pick up a keyboard next time I go to the game store :)

And you really can't beat $0.40 PC games. They were hidden in with the VHS tapes, so I'm glad I regularly scan those each visit hoping for SNES games or I would have missed them. FEAR also had a disk of Wrath of the Lich King in the box. I don't know what I'm going to do with that, but it was an interesting inclusion.

Also picked these up at Kmart. They seem to be having a nice clearance sale going on lately.

Image

Rhythm Heaven Fever - $5
Devil May Cry Collection - $6
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask - $15

They had a few more games with yellow stickers, so if any of you have a Kmart nearby you might want to check them out. If you do you might not risk spending an extra $20 on ZombiU like mjmjr25 did

Oh, and my stack of TI-99 games came in this week. They were a little dirty, but other than that they're in good shape. Time for a thorough cleaning!

Something tells me if the clearance is still on at kmart like michi was saying i might be heading up there since they are a lot closer than toys r us next month. I was half tempted to pick up some i saw when I was at kmart but I settled for my shelf and paying off my balance at the gym(since I had to get a different card to get stuff to work right *sigh*). Especially because all of those he picked up there sound really interesting if they happen to have them...
