Just mail it to Hobie. I had him replace batteries on three old GB games. Not only did he do it but he installed larger batteries to delay my having to do that again by several years.
AND it was affordable.

Smile: I got called in by HR yesterday, and even though I’m not actively applying for other jobs, they said they wanted to reward me and basically not risk losing me. They said because I am so attractive, intelligent and muscular that they are giving me an extra week vacation and a 4% pay increase.
Ticked: This other guy, Lou, who may be as smart as me but is not nearly as attractive or vag-worthy as me also got a 4% raise?

So unattractive people shouldn't be allowed to get bonuses?mjmjr25 wrote:Smile: I got called in by HR yesterday, and even though I’m not actively applying for other jobs, they said they wanted to reward me and basically not risk losing me. Older. Not wiser.

Tropical storm / hurricane / tornado / tremor preparedness.
Totally puts a cramp in my job-hunting activities. (Specifically, I don't think I can go on campus when it's being used as a flood shelter.)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

There's a bright side to everything; it sounds to me like that hurricane shelter is the perfect place to do a little career networking!pakopako wrote:

It was an inside joke amongst an incredibly small contingent of the racket community.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: So unattractive people shouldn't be allowed to get bonuses?
For fear of my lame humor being misunderstood again, I won't answer your question

Big fat smile:
I just got my Scart to Component converter in the mail today. I hooked it up to my Genesis/CD/32x and just about shit my pants.
The picture is absolutely stunning. Comparison pictures and such online don't do it justice. It is simply beautiful.
I think I want Scart RGB for all of my systems now.

Can you direct link to it? (assuming you bought it online)CFFJR wrote:Big fat smile:

Certainly, though if you've ever searched for one you've probably seen the one I got.mjmjr25 wrote: Can you direct link to it? (assuming you bought it online)

I know the price seems low, but believe me the quality is there. I love the damn thing.
They shipped fast. I ordered Tuesday, came in today. The only problem with it is that it has no way of carrying audio, so you need another solution there (most people use a Scart switchbox, I don't need it since I get audio from the Sega CD), but I haven't been able to find a converter anywhere that also carries sound.
Also, if you need the actual Scart RGB cable for the Genesis 1/2, Master System, or 32x, I bought mine from a US seller on ebay. Here's a link to all of their cables currently available, to save you the trouble of importing. Some of these have a stereo cable splitting off the main cable, which is handy if you need it.

Since I connect to a 32x and get sound from the Sega CD, I bought the second cable on that list.

SMILE: Applied for a full-time job which seems perfect for me and put a hell of a lot of effort into the cover letter, resume, and application, tailoring everything for the position.
TICKED: Set all the paperwork on the huge stack of paper I have which consists of applications for countless jobs which took no interest in me. Really crossing my fingers on this one. I have a B.F.A., professional experience working freelance on different video productions, have had an internship, and know tons of industry-standard technical skills and am having one hell of a time finding a decent job. It's tough out there folks!
