is that what causes that? can it be fixed easily? i have two game boys that do this and i just assumed the screen was faulty.
yep pretty easy fix if you have a soldering iron.

Also turning the system on and off a few times can bring a few of the lines back sometimes if there is a still a slight connection. This actually worked and restored a few of the lines but it's just a temporary fix.
I already have a game boy so this will probably just be trade fodder. Looked up the soldering iron videos last night but I don't trust myself to give it a go

I stopped at the August, Maine Goodwill on Saturday, and I grabbed:
Blast Lacrosse (PS1; CIB) - $2
Split/Second (PS3; CIB) - $5
I am glad to have both, but Blast Lacrosse, interestingly enough, was the better deal.

Blast Lacrosse is a ton of fun - one of my only regrets when getting away from Playstation. Is it still in the $35 range?

It is more like $20 these days. That is still more than I would have cared to pay for it; so, I am happy to add it to my collection at a price that allows me to reap some consumer surplus.
EDIT: I might also add that Bone gave me copies of Dragon Quest V (SFC) and Dragon Quest VI (SFC) today, and I am very happy about that. (Now, I just need to come up with a list of "must have" SFC games.)

you guys. i might be getting a dedicated Super Street Fighter II cab and a Neo Geo 4-Slot with Bust-a-Move and Pulstar carts installed. for reasonably cheap, if not free, if all goes well. they both have issues but they look and sound very fixable, even for a n00b like me.
your well-wishing and good vibes afforded me with a perfectly good Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo cab
just last week. i would love to get your support again.
i am so psyched that this might happen that i'm shaking. might not happen! but it might

Aaron, I missed your dynamo cab - amazing find. Those cabs are sought after and others said, the B Board alone is $90, the A board another $35 - so the fact the cab is decent shape and working - just a great get.
Good luck on the ones today. If that Pulstar is original, i'll gladly trade you $200 in SAT-J goodness

it probably won't happen today, this one is going to be a long, drawn-out ordeal and i may not even get them at all. there are like 3-4 people "in charge" at this place, and only one of them really wants to keep them but the rest REALLY want them gone. i just told them to keep me in mind and i said i'd help troubleshoot them for them if they decide to fix them and keep them. currently they are sitting unused in a bathroom in the back, so selling them to me (or giving them to me) or fixing them up and using them would be beneficial for them either way they look at it.
but man am i really hoping they just let me take 'em.
