Aw, thanks for the welcome back, my doods. I missed y'all. It's good to see lots of familiar faces still here. I've had quite the IRL rollercoaster since I was last forum-active, but things are starting to settle down. I'm looking forward to diving back into gaming and the boards.

Even though it's been like a year since I've really been around, I can tell you the answer to this is: no.
Who is the oldest forum member, and do you still enjoy playing videogames? Well if you are here I guess you still do, but do you actually play the games or do you follow the industry like people follow sports and politc news

Might have to take some sort of poll to figure out who is eldest. I'm turning 40 this year ...

44 here. Still like playing the games, but gave up the newer stuff. The 360 was my last newer console and barely touched it. I just don't have the time to get into these epic games that come out nowadays. Just rather play for 30 minutes to and hour and not wonder what the hell I was doing when I come back to it. I don't follow the industry outside a few youtubers. I have other interests.
I just turned 43 last weekend (which was somewhat bittersweet due to the fact that I spent an entire year as a 42 year-old and I'm still no closer to the answer). I make a somewhat conscious effort to play games drawing from the entire broad history of video games (though admittedly more often than not I'm playing something from Gen3 or later). Sometimes I'm in the mood for the zen-like simplicity of an Atari 2600 cart; sometimes I'm in the mood for an open world crime simulator with cutting-edge graphics. As far as actively following industry news and so forth ... meh, I could really take it or leave it. I prefer to get the distilled version from you guys (and a couple of other spots) rather than watch the tired old industry hype machine in its endless machinations of cycling up and back down again.
