Yeah, lots of glass right behind my bed. There's a thick curtain over the window that the bed is up against, so I didn't get any glass in my face or anything like that, but there's definitely glass inside the house.
Most importantly, are your games ok?
They're in the living room, opposite end of the house, so yes.

Don't worry, I was helping with some excrement merchandise packaging tips earlier today. Your glass shards silicon and shiny discs will arrive safe and sound.

Found out one of my best friends at work, her mom apparently is a garage sale addict. Told her "I will literally take any game she finds for $5 or less, except for sports games."

2 days later, she delivers 20+ games for an average of less than $3 each. Pretty solid games overall, mostly 360 games (with case, most instructions) that I don't already own (since my 360 collection is pretty barren). Couple GTAs, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Oblivion, Morrowind... no like SCREAMING deals, but at less than $3 I'll soak up anything she finds.

She's even keeping track of what she buys me so she doesn't buy dupes!

So yeah, that's a big  for me.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Oh.....his favorite movie director? MICHAEL BAY! He is so excited for TMNT movie and he thinks that Donatello looks BADASS!? I also told him Michael Bay is not directing TMNT and is only a producer and he told me I needed to get my facts straight.

He went to great lengths to explain to me how the Transformers moves were some of the best action sequences in the history of film and how the 4th movie did a great job in rebooting the franchise.......
It's a long drive to Michigan just to kick some ass and reunite with old friends, but I am considering it.

@ All: Texting is all fine and dandy, but I prefer email. Actually I prefer a hand written letter, but getting a text of "sup?" is a waste of my time. Not trying to sound self absorbed, but text is the lcd of communication. If you want to know when "I B there?" call me; that's why I bought a smart phone with unlimited minutes.

Phone call:

"Hey cupcake (yes, I call my wife "cupcake"), while you're at the store, would you please pick up a poblano pepper?"

-Sure! Anything else you want me to pick up while I'm out?

"Come to think of it, grab a few tomatillos and...Oh! We're short on Kleenex. That will do'er unless you can think of anything".

-I should pick up some tp too. Love ya, bye!

Text:

Would you please pick up a poblano pepper?

-What?

Are you still at the store?

-Yes.

Can you pick up a poblano pepper?

-Sure. Bye.

Minutes pass....

Oh, I need a few tomatillos too.

-I was about to check out. Let me go get them.

Thanks.

-I think we also need some Kleenex.

Ugh. I'll pick that up. Do we need tp?

-Let me go check...

-Yes.

K

Text sucks.
Well if you'd worded the text like the phone call it usually works out better...I've learned that with my mom that I can't shorten things and generally it works out better that way if it's not as short as the text

Day 2 in the department was a lonely day. Let me introduce you to Hank (again, not the same name). Although Hank was not nearly as pushy as Guy, Hank wanted nothing to do with me. He has worked there for 4 years, is a 20-something and loves videogames...BUT!!!...a big but with exclamation points, he would refuse to talk to me.

I was alone with this guy for 5 hours and our conversations went like this.

Me: "Hey, I don't know what my responsibilities are in this position, as no one has told me yet. What should I be doing?"

Hank: "I don't know.....dust shelves and clean display cases?"

He would talk to people about video games and enthuse, but when I bring up games to him his response was like he has never played a video game in his life...so I just left it at that.

I'm old and lonely

:) Bought a house.

:? Moving in is a slooooow process. Making multiple trips in a 2-door Oldsmobile with a 1 year old in tow isn't exactly an ideal moving situation. Also, I need to get the carpets replaced before I get anything moved into the basement (which is where I plan to have all the "fun" stuff). Might bring an air mattress over tomorrow so I can at least start sleeping there!

Smile: First day of class today. It was relief that I was able to keep up, I was worried I would fall flat on my ass since I sucked so hard at maths in high school. Doing that refresher course last term helped a million.

Ticked: Had a hell of a time getting there. I misjudged how bad the traffic would be on the way there, all the while having less than a quarter a tank of fuel and badly needing to piss  I was going to get petrol last night, but after procrastinating it all evening, I finally went out and it fucking started hailing. Oh well, I guess I was only 10 minutes late... and I made it to a bathroom.

Smile- got to cook for my family, and even my picky eater family members enjoyed it.

Also, talked to a friend on FB from high school, who didn't quite click who I was immediately, and thought she was talking to my sister I never introduced her to. Forgot to fully come out to her lol.
