I always like how in Zelda games you take mental notes of places to come back to that you can't access at the time. But in ALBW you basically get all the items from the get go. It'd probably be a really good beginner Zelda game though.
I don't know really, the game still has plenty of obstacles and areas you can't get to with the rental shop stuff.

My favorite aspect of having the shop was allowing a few puzzles to have alternate solve methods.

I think it struck a good balance with some linear aspects while allowing you to have some non-linear adventures. If I ever play the game again, I'll probably end up doing the dungeons in a different order. I found that I did my first blind playthrough wildly out of the "suggested" order.

As I've said before I like the feeling of progression you get from other Zelda games and Metroid as well, but I didn't necessarily find the rental shop worse, just unexpected and different. It's not something I want to see in all future Zelda games or anything but it's a gimmick that gives this one a unique feel.

I don't know if it's more of a "beginner" Zelda game or anything, but it makes for a good handheld, pick up and play Zelda game.

I'll definitely agree with it being a great pick up and play game. The dungeon and boss design was also really clever even if a bit on the easy side. Music was great too.

Just didn't like how much of a breeze the whole playthrough was. Felt like I was playing a Zelda game in fast forward.

I guess maybe I let the hype get to me a bit on this one which is something I usually try to avoid. Lol

So everyone knows how the Nintendo points expire after awhile and it's frustrating if you're not a hardcore Nintendo gamer. Another thing that really chaps my ass: I have a $20 Wii Points card that it will not let me use in the eShop on the 3DS. That's bullshit.

Wii points are their own thing.

One of the more recent e-shop cards will work on either 3DS or Wii U though.

Have you seen the Club Nintendo rewards lately? There's literally nothing left in stock except for the Animal Crossing posters and some cheap junk.

I think a lot more people are utilizing the program. Also, there most likely was a huge upswing in sales of the Wii U thanks to Mario Kart 8 and E3, resulting in more points to spend on stuff.

Kinda why I'm a little skeptical to cash in what little points I can probably get. Would be dumb to use them up and nothing be available to really be worth them

Well your points don't expire for a year right? Definitely will have stuff worth your time by then.

I'm stockpiling my coins for when something new and cool shows up. Imagine if they offered the Amiibo figures on there? I'd be okay with that.

Yeah you have to stockpile for the good stuff, like that awesome Luigi's Mansion figure.
