Anyway I just got recieved this from ebay today, a backlit modded GBA. I was a bit concerned since the seller was in china and the price was relatively low, $69 shipped. But it is legit and even came complete with box and instructions. Man the SP101 screen is absolutely stunning, too bad they didn't have that screen from the beginning. Now I have the best of both worlds, the comfort of the original GBA and the awesome bright screen from the GBA SP 101.

Gameboy color games look there very best on it too, been using my Gameboy Everdrive I got recently alot on it.

Wow, that is pretty cool... a backlight original GBA. I've been thinking of putting a backlight into my GBA (which I am the original owner of it) but I never got around to it. I'm not much of a modder so I'm not sure if I should try it. I almost had a heart attack when I replaced the GBA batteries in Pokemon a while back. Though if I add a backlight mod my NES GBA will go unused.

I stepped in to my local GS and stumbled upon Fragile Dream for the wii, I was ecstatic when I saw it, since it was CIB and paid 17 bucks for it.

Arpuhguh? Fffpiss? Bah!
"Shmup" is far more elegant!

I don't get the appeal of the GBA over the SP, but speaking of backlights; I'm installing an SP backlight into a NGPC. I'll post some pictures once I'm finished.
I haven't had any finds in about 2 weeks now.

Because the tiny size and placement of controls on the SP lead to cramps for those of us with big hands.

I live right down the street to one, so I go there and a few Goodwills several times a week. Competition is good (at least for me when I find stuff)

I have relatively long fingers so long play sessions on the SP makes my hands cramp, especially if the game requires a lot of use of the L and R buttons, the original GBA is by far the most comfortable gameboy.

I have big paws too, but prefer the folding convenience of the GBA SP for on the go gaming. A compromise over buttons closer together and fitting the portable in the front pocket. The SP 101 has the brightest screen; a modded regular GBA a bit pricey for me, especially when there are other options. For me, long sessions are played at home thru the Gamecube GB Player. This gives me the big screen and various controllers including Arcade Sticks to try.
@ ninjainspandex - Not a bad price on that modded GBA, congrats!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I have been playing alot of Links Awakening on my Everdrive GB on my Gameboy Color and now that I switched to the original GBA I noticed how much easier it is to save the game. If you didn't know to save the game in Links Awakening you have to press the Start Select A and B buttons all exactly at the same time, it is a real pain in the butt on the GBC and the SP.
