I didn't spend as long unemployed (although I spent longer at a job that I truly hated and kinda wished I was unemployed), but I had the same issues with blistering typing speeds and inability to get something like data entry that should have been a cakewalk, logically.

Check for local civil service jobs, it's what I ended up doing. I really enjoy my job at 911, and I think the typing skillz made it easier to land (and certainly easier to do).

I'm job hunting at the moment also, I received this email this morning:

"Brendan,

Your application is very well written and I am sure that you will be the first to obtain employment.
Unfortunately we are not in a position to take on additional staff and wish you well.

Good Luck & Best Regards,
<business>."

Not a bad way to start job hunting as the way it was written was quite a confidence booster. Although if I did score a job through my first batch of expression of interest emails, that would be amazing  That's not how job hunting works though unfortunately, especially when you're entering a new industry.
At least I'm pulling down some awesome sales this month at work, so even if it is one of my last months there I'll be leaving on a high note.

Pissed: I can't complete my tax return until a company that tracks my shares sends out a taxation statement. I've completed the rest of my return and am just waiting on that. My workplace said it would be ready earlier this month but when I enquired directly to the company, they told me mid this month. It's so annoying waiting on someone else, I would of lodged it and got my return by now otherwise.

Free Resume punches, right here. I can help.

I think I need it....I will definitely take you up on the offer..I will send you details on wednesday for sure! Thank you so much!
He's not talking about doing a resume consultation. He's offering to print off your resume and then put his fist through it.
I actually print a banner of the resume', have cheerleaders hold said banner and run through it, punching while running and screaming "JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBB!"

Then I post it to youtube, and kaboom! Job offers left and right.

The important question I must ask is, "What music do you come in on and will there be smoke machines?"

"Purple Haze" with 10 smoke machines , 4 mortars, and 2 bubble machines (for the kids).

In case of an emergency "Welcome to the Jungle" and instead of smoke machines, a slew of parrots and cockatoos fly out with me. Unfortunately there are strict regulations on apes ever since they started mauling people it's been rough doing the "monkey entrance".

I'll help you out pal.

Frown - Israel. I'm not one to defend Hamas. They are straight up a terrorist organization and any reform they have done has been insufficient to warrant not being labeled a terrorist group. But at the same time, Israel has the most efficient intelligence gathering organization in the entire world (Mossad), one of the best trained military's in existence, military tech that is scarcely a generation behind their US and UK patrons, and a nearly limitless budget. It is totally within their ability to strike Hamas targets without such insane civilian casualties. But they don't give a shit. Scaring the hell out of Palestinian civilians is easier and more efficient than striking the actual decision makers in Hamas.

And here's the other thing that pisses me off: Israel could solve Hamas and its whole issue with Palestine in a single generation if they would just approach the problem as a socioeconomic one instead of using their military to strangle the Gaza Strip. There is next to no economic opportunity in Palestine and territory that Israel agreed was theirs decades ago is constantly being built on by Israeli settlers - Gee, I wonder why it is Palestinians grow up to hate Israel? Hate is what gets groups like Hamas followers and Hate is all that Israel is instilling in Palestine.

Tl;Dr: If Israel wants to be the hero of its own story, it really should start acting that way.

Smile: Finally got a WiiU Pro controller. I remember when I got the original VC classic controller. "This is the perfect controller", I thought. Then I got the Classic Controller Pro. "Now, THIS is the perfect controller", I declared. Nintendo's optional controllers keep getting better and better.

Of course, they had it perfect with the Gamecube already save for an undersized D-Pad.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Today I was asked to return any and all things of Morgan Printers to their office, "or else".

This is well over a week after my sacking so all the items I had have been in the trash can for over a week. I was happy to return said items.

Had to put them in the trunk they stunk so bad. And this is no means of revenge. I got sacked, I threw away my stuff. They sent me a rather threatening email about "intellectual property" (how a postcard counts as "intellectual property" baffles me) so I gave it to 'em. And they ask for it a week later. Jesus Christ these idiots.

The email also asks for "all client information and possible leads, and information on them". I informed them that all information was clarified by the three daily documents I provided them with.

Fucking crazy. I don't work for them, and they want me to still work for them. I owe them nothing, and they probably won't pay me for the last week I worked. Fuck 'em.

Smile: Woke up early and was able to mow the lawn before it hit 95 degrees. Was hot as balls, hot balls, but pushed through.

TMI Smile: Frisky. 'nough said.

Smile: 'Maters are a growing. Have two fist sized tomatoes already, and dozens upon dozens still growing. Summer is grand. Nothing like the smell of a fresh tomato.

Smile: Wrestling Party Tonight! It's silly, but silly is a good reason to relax on a Monday and hang out with friends. Party games will be included, which is always fun.

I'm glad that people are starting to realize the genius that is the GameCube controller - Nintendo has always made their controllers to fit the games they want to make, not the other way around. The GC's gamepad is perfectly-suited to platformers (giant A button and octagonal stick casing). That, and each element of it is tactilely unique, so you don't have to look down to know what you are pressing. I love this controller!
