Meh.

It's pretty, at least.

Saw The Martian the other night and I thought it was great. Just wanted to send another shout out to Fragems for giving me the digital code. Thanks bro!

Seen the 2016 ghostbusters the other night. Wasn't as bad as the reviews but yeah not near as good as the original. I just don't care for the interuption with a joke that plays on for a few minutes that stalls the advancement of the movie that was funny but lasted to long, if you know what I mean. Was alright to kill 2 hours but I wouldn't pay theater prices to see.

I heard some serious hype behind John Wick today, is it really super awesome?

It's an entertaining action movie. I liked it and would recommend it. I'd certainly dial your expectations back from "super awesome" though.

Depends on what would make it super awesome for you. It's a pretty great action movie that mostly stands out for not being super stylized with the shots/camera work, making it easy to follow and appreciate the stunt work and all (makes sense, given that the directors are stuntmen). For plot or something? Nah, not really. Either way, it's definitely worth watching.

Planning on basically watching all, if not most, of the late Herschell Gordon Lewis' films.

Yeah. I would scale back expectations to "reasonably" awesome.

"Super awesome" is too strong. I really appreciated it went for smooth action shots over all the shaky cam stuff we tend to see today. I also liked that (while this isn't often an issue for action movies) it was show, not tell. Otherwise, its a for the par action movie based on a slight trope subversion, with well choreographed scenes.

Despite all this, I thought it was a high tier action movie. Its not the Raid, but its good.
