The only thing I really have to do is show up on time with the right papers, not drunk, and dressed decent.
Our state is cool. If you challenge it and the cop doesn't show up, it gets wiped clean.

Funny story about that, my wife was challenging a ticket for slipping on ice and landing in a ditch (with about 4 other cars) that the cop said, "Challenge it, I will not show up." She did and I was with her. A woman was challenging a ticket that a policeman DID show up for and the woman went ballistic about police brutality, stating that, "He is battering me with his LIES your honor! My son served in afghanistan and this is how you repay him!" After she was told to pay the ticket, she confronted the cop in the waiting room and again said the whole afghanistan thing and then slapped the cop. Out came the handcuffs. Crazy lady.

In NY, too. I'd imagine it'd be like that in any state just because that's how our system works. But, there's no way the cop wont show. It's highway patrol. He'll be there even if I reschedule it. And they only allow you to reschedule once.

Hey man, good job! I've lost some weight myself - started at 240, goal is 190, and over the past 3 months I've gotten down to 215.

Amazing what not drinking a 6-pack a day can do for weight loss... :p
