I think of it more like it's a villian trying to play nice, but they legitimately cannot understand how to work together. Just not in their programming.

But you may be on to something there...

You got it for a steal 6-7 years ago. I've been looking for that game on and off for over a decade and have never seen it less than $30. I finally acquired it as part of a trade iirc, and I gave up a fair bit to get it too.

Was at the coast this last weekend. Found a local game shop bought some stuff while I was there.

One of the items I got was Gyromite for $5. I bought it mostly because I don't own it. I figured, there's no way it has a converter inside.

I was wrong.

I opened it up tonight after I got home, and it does have a famicom to NES converter inside.

In other words, score.

City Thrift sunday sale pick up
PS1
Gran Turismo 1
Gran Turismo 2
Nascar 2000

PS2
Gran Turismo 3
Ace Combat 4
Tony Hawk 3

All that CIB goodness for $1.25. I think the only thing that was not a double was Gran Turismo 2. But have black label upgrade for TH3 and GT3.

I've had that kind of luck for the past 4 months. It has only been two times that I've been lucky with those stores. (last Friday with the original XBox and a month ago when I got those Dreamcast games). In fact, last week I drove all over the place and all I found was PS2 memory cards at a giant yard sale that my boss told me about at his church. There was some things at a few Goodwill's but not at the prices they wanted (Super Mario World for the SNES for 30 dollars? wtf. It was at one I don't visit that much), I even checked out a few pawn shop and those were worst ($20 for Madden 03? Are they crazy).
