Well, I'm on the Xbox One team now. I've been looking for S deals and the New Egg one with the Gears of War 4 set (I'm assuming digital) + 1 TB + an extra controller for $269 (free shipping) was too good to pass up. I really wanted the extra space and the controller is a wash, making it $200 even for the system. I'll use that extra controller for Steam anyway.

Are the Games with Gold still yours forever? I really liked that as I cancelled XBLA for my 360 years ago and could still play them. I'd re-up here as a way to build the library (esp with 1 TB).

I'm really interested in Rare Replay, Sunset Overdrive (wow, a sub $10 new game!), Forza Horizon 2 and really anything XBox One Exclusive.

Along with the aforementioned Rare Replay... Dead Rising 3 & 4, State of Decay, and Killer Instinct are all exclusive favorites of mine. (SoD is very underrated in my book.)

I haven't logged much time into Project Spark, Quantum Break, or ReCore - but they all have some great potential and might be worth a look.

80gb download for Gears of War 4...yeesh. Thinking more about going digital with this system, as deals show themselves on Gold (like Gears of War Ultimate Edition Day One right now).

The Xbox One S is a sleek little box, really like it.

How does the XboxOne compare to PS4 as a media player?
I have a PS3 now which is great, very quite and the remote is fantastic, but I am afraid the console is showing its age

I love it as media player, and the media remote works great.

Ryse is another cheap relatively good exclusive. Played with a controller it is pretty solid I hear that playing with a kinect still sucks though :P.

Depends on what you want out of it probably. All I use it for is the HBO app (since it wasn't available on Playstation when I started using it), and it I often need to force close it and reopen for it to work right. I think that's because I have the Xbox set to ask for a PIN, but I'm not sure.

If you want a 4k Ultra compatible Blu-ray player, however, an Xbox One S is a very compelling option.
