A Link Between Worlds walks the tightrope of being the same but different pretty well. It also strikes a balance between being a sequel and a remake/throwback. I like the way it all panned out and while I don't know if I'd call it the absolute best or innovative Zelda game it stands on its own as a good game without really needing to rely on its predecessor.

Key members doesn't mean it was made by the "same people". You looked at wikipedia but not the credits? Granted there could be more that worked on both but only one of the composers was listed as a main individual who worked on both.

I guess that's a fair complaint, but since I haven't beaten LttP yet (I really don't enjoy the dungeon design), I didn't have any complaints. Also the quick travel, save in multiple places (and not having to start at your house or sanctuary) and the many many places to change between light and dark world, made exploring the map much more fun.

That's what I was thinking when I first played the demo of ALBW at Best Buy. I was like "Man, this is pretty good....would have been better if it wasn't A Link to the Past AGAIN. Not that I hate A Link to the Past. I like that game, a lot. It was the most played Zelda game for me as a kid, but I have definitely gotten burned out on it as of late. That's why when I played the demo I was like "Again?".

Does anyone know what the range is for street pass? I had my 3ds in a case, in my bag, in the trunk of my car all day, and I got 10 passes today which was surprising.

After an update, you can pick them up over WiFi now too.

How does Wi-Fi street passing work? I mean... there are a ton of people online with their 3ds, what determines whether I pass someone or not?

I'm not sure. I think I read more details about it when they first did it, but I forget now.

Compatible wifi hotspots gather streetpasses of the most recent people to pass them and send them out to new streetpassers who pass that hotspot. It's still done via streetpass, but doesnt require someone with a 3DS to pass by you at the exact time you're there.

Ah, I see. So, for example, if I went to McDonalds, which would have a hotspot, I would "pass" the most recent X people that visited that spot?

I was hoping it would work through my own Wi-Fi, but this is still a decent upgrade.

Ah, right, the last 10 or so people stay in cyberspace until you or some one else pass by to collect it. I remember that now.

But didn't they also fix it so you could get it over WiFi? I never take my 3DS out, and when I do it's never some where that I could get Street Pass. When I was playing A Link Between Worlds, I was able to fight Shadow Link a few times. I thought that was from getting Street Pass over WiFi. No?
