You referring to my vocals?

'cause I checked them out and I'm not sure I agree...
yeah it just reminded me of the vocals that come in at 1:52 here.

though now that i'm listening to it again it doesn't sound quite the same, just gave me that impression. it was a compliment, though. tragedy rules.

Just what I've been doing lately. Still not quite settled so for now it's just a personal studio thing, but I'm hoping to start trying to see if I can't find some folks who wouldn't mind helping me play this stuff live sometime. Seems way more likely to do in San Antonio than back home at least.

Just some nice punky metal, maybe you'll like it
I'm willing to punch a guy in the face to this. Good work!

Lately I've been listening to the At the Gates discog in preparation for this new album and for the arrival of my Slaughter of the Soul 180-gram vinyl. :D I've listened to At War with Reality a couple times so far and I think I'm digging it. I'll have to listen to it a few more times to determine whether I think it's a great album or merely a good one. So far I can definitely say that it doesn't just feel like a rehash of Slaughter of the Soul. I've been doing the same thing with Overkill's new album: White Devil Armory. I'm not sure how I like it compared to The Electric Age. I've only listened to it a couple of times as well, but I think this album feels like a step down.

Also, I've listen to your EP Apple and I think it's alright. I liked Swallow Your Universe and Sleep Again. Hope you keep at it.

I just barely missed Overkill, who played her right before I moved in.

Swallow Your Universe was my personal favorite, I've gotten a LOT of love for Full Fucking Tilt, and there've been few people citing the title track and Sweet Lady Vengeance as faves.

Honestly there's things I wish I would've done a tad differently when I reflect on it, especially compared to the first demo, and I feel really disappointed, but when I listen back to it I'm mostly satisfied with it for what it is, I guess. Plus it's earned me like $24 that's a bit of something :P

It's hard to get a good objective perspective on your own music without some outside view though. Sometimes I think this stuff is fucking awful.

I'm keeping at it, for sure. Got at least 3 songs I'm sitting on right now.

Such is the way of making music. One moment, you're hella stoked on what you're making and think it sounds really badass. The next, everything you make sucks and it's time to sell your gear.

I usually hit the "It sucks" stage so quickly that my stuff never ends up recorded at all. I'll jam it out and enjoy it, write it down, come up with some stuff to accent it... and then hate it.

definitely go see DRI. that was one of my first hardcore/metal shows. always a great time.

Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus are playing here on Thursday and i don't know if i ever want to bother ponying up the $40 to go at this point.
