There is a CIB copy of Power Strike SMS for $50 at a store near me. I opened the case and wow. It looks like the cart had never even been touched before. Absolute pristine condition and the box was about the same (didnt give the manual a long look). I am really considering pulling the trigger on this

Knowing how some of you guys like those types of games(and from what the youtube video of it just showed me)...that looks worth it...especially with the completed listings on ebay

Sooooooooooo that mother load. Yeah, it turned out to be...well...a pretty good score...but nothing earth shattering. Considering the way most of these things turn out, I'll take it.

So I show up there and right away I get stung. "A guy came earlier and took some of those games you wanted." :x I politely say, "Oh, I thought you said I was going to be the first one." Pause...no answer, so we just move on into the kitchen. Apparently the guy scheduled to come after me squeaked in just before, even though they said 5 was the earliest :x ...never mind. I'll move on.

The boxes have already been opened and games are strewn across the kitchen table. My heart sinks as I know instantly that all the RPG's and high calibre titles I wanted are long gone. I lost out on some BIG titles: Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy III, ect. :( I forced myself to move on and clear my head. This fellow has invited me into his home so I owe it to him to be polite and respectful no matter what.

I'll spare you the rest of the details. Here's what I got. Ignore the price stickers in the pics. He's a former seller and was just getting rid of old inventory. We settled on $110 for everything. Considering he admitted being a former seller, that's a VERY fair price as I'm sure you'll agree.

Anyway, I'm happy to have gotten something out of this. It was fun to say the least. :)

Besides missing the stuff you probably went for, that seems like a pretty decent haul. I wouldn't mind having those gb games since I ended up getting gipped on my copy of that zelda links awakening. Even though my return of that game turned into the start of my gc collection. Even those first two N64 ones are nice, those are actually ones I wanted way back when but never got....

Oh don't get me wrong, I actually had most of these N64 and SNES games on my initial want list in addition to the ones I missed. It just took me a minute or so to absorb the fact that I missed the RPG's, the Zelda's and other greats for those systems before I decided to still grab these. The GB games, CIB NES game and the manuals were a bonus. They were at the bottom of a box of loose genesis and random accessories. I'm assuming the picker/collector/fuckface (still bitter) before me didn't want to look through that pile of garbage.

Well, bummer, vatermuzik. But at least you managed to find some gems in the pile. That's more than some of us can say about online ad sites in our area.

Sadly that couldn't be more true. I've seen some things on craigs list(just because I've been curious) and most of it is either junk or way overpriced(or I'm just cheap) for what gems are in the bunch...

True. Though I must clarify that this was never an online ad. It stemmed from a Facebook buy/sell item that I emailed about but didn't end up getting. We just got to chatting afterwards and she said her "hubby" had stuff he could sell me. The list was via email. It was never posted online, or so I think anyway. I'm guessing, that because of my interest, I opened the proverbial door for the guy who got there before me, which is kinda why this one hurts so much.

But like I said, I am happy to have found the gems that I found. It was fun.
