With hashiriya1 and others having their votes cast, I'm gonna say 25th will be the final deadline, and on the 26th I'll announce the schedule.

@ jmbarnes - I thought you didn't like emuiation? Crimzon Clover can be played by basically anyone with a PC/Mac and can be had for $30. Sapphire can only be played non-emulated on a PCE-CD, which wasn't one of the consoles I thought you had. Consider changing your vote?

No worries Dave. I'm actually something of a SHMUP guru. These choices are both well researched and gravely considered. There can be no other way.

I'm a SHMUP doctor, and I approve of Flake's choices. They quite obviously display the hight of taste and knowledge in the field.
