:D Japanese class went really well today. I got teamed up with one of the other guys that I rarely talk to and we hit it off. Our knowledge level was about the same, so we could have converse without feeling too stupid if one of us made a mistake.

:D :D Made a Japanese friend! She's learning English and helping me with my Japanese. We kind of go back and forth between our native languages and correct each other. We're into a lot of the same stuff and she plays video games so we actually have stuff to talk about. It's been a while since I felt like I had a friend I could talk to without annoying the crap out of them.

:x Fed up with our upstairs neighbors. They're complete slobs! They leave their clothes in the washer/dryer for days, making it difficult for me to do laundry. On top of that, the area we do laundry in is disgusting! They just throw the lent all over the floor and right outside the door. It's infested with spiders, and I could barely tell the washer and dryer were supposed to be white, not brown.

Spent all day yesterday cleaning everything. I swept, mopped, picked up all the lent, scrubbed the floors, destroyed many spiders, wiped down the outside and inside of the washer and dryer, raked all the leaves in the back yard, and even set up a little area to throw away the lent and fold the clothes. Afterward, I got so ticked off that I rode my bike for two hours. My body hurts...

that's thoughtful! sounds like a nice gal you've got there.
I'd say! I'm very lucky :)

I guess the silver lining is that it means you were the best, but I can relate to how to tough and stressful it can be. About a year ago a lot of people at my work weren't fired but stopped getting shifts, and they all gradually resigned. I'm not by myself, but it's a pain to to have to do more work now there are less people for the same pay and over that they screwed over our commission structure, but I won't get into that now. I hope the best for you, bud.

Smile: My girlfriends family took us out for dinner last night for her birthday to place I won't be able to afford for many years at my current rate  We were talking about the wine (because it was delicious!) and they off offhandily said that it was one of the cheaper bottles... at $57 each. I couldn't believe I was drinking wine that expensive, and then it ran out and they bought another bottle! It was a special occasion after all though, but damn, it wasn't even my birthday and even I felt spoiled!

Anyone else feel like he's two posts away from "they took our jerbs!"?

It's a South Park reference, from when in an episode a bunch of rednecks got their jobs taken by time traveling humans from the future who were one homogenized race and culture and worked for almost nothing. They play out many ways in saying, "They took your job". It has become a running gag on the show.
And then they get into a giant pile of men to have gay sex to ensure the humans of the future will not exist.

My 32X arrived today, I was hoping it would get rid of the ugly vertical bars present on my Genesis II (which I use for easy 60hz gaming against my Mega Drive), instantly better image via composite, love it!

:D Went to the Global Wildlife Center today. My daughter loved feeding all the different kinds of animals.

:( The giraffes were being really shy today. We could see them in the distance, but they never got close enough to feed.

:x One of the families that came on the tour thought it would be a great idea to bring a new born infant in 98°F weather covered in blankets for an hour and a half.

It would have just made the annoying wails of regret even louder.

:? So I have been on the job hunt for roughly 6 months now and, after critical failure, had conceded to work again in Retail. While waiting for my background check to go through with the retail job and I get a call up for an interview for a real job today and the nerves are high. I don't want to have to have a minimum wage job AND pay union dues on top of that. I would much rather get this job and make more than twice the minimum wage and not deal with any people (literally a non-interactive clerical job). Fingers crossed!
