It's quite a decent console yet the only real problem I have with it is that it is so badly optimized. The games themselves are quite enjoyable apart from a select few.AppleQueso wrote:Someone who actually likes the N64!

I briefly considered shooting for a complete N64 set, but kinda stopped when I came close to paying $150+ for Clay Fighter Sculptor's Cut.

Price is the main reason I've gone for a full cart set, that and I'm afraid that I'd damage the boxes opening them to play the games. My focus for now is to complete a full PAL set but there are certain titles which are preventing me from reaching that goal (Starcraft 64, Snowboard Kids 2, an English copy of Shadowgate 64, Conker 64 and Paper Mario). Needless, I'm willing to hold out until I can come across any of those titles at a price-point where I can assimilate them into my collection and strike another name off my list.AppleQueso wrote:I briefly considered shooting for a complete N64 set, but kinda stopped when I came close to paying $150+ for Clay Fighter Sculptor's Cut.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Not new, but I've been away for a year or so from active posting, so I figured I'd post a little "Hey, yo!" to all the new friends and old ones alike.
Now that I have a full-time job/career as a Internet Security specialist with one of the nation's leading cable companies, I have decided that I need some more gaming in my life to keep me mentally stable.
In addition to a new job, I've also recently become engaged to a very beautiful (and highly tolerant) woman, and we are planning on buying a house to fit all of my gaming crap in.
My current gaming goals are to complete my Working Designs collection and to actually play and finish Pikmin 3, and not just let it sit on my backlog for years like so many other games..

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hi,
I'm a long time lurker and have finally decided to join up and chat some games!
I pretty much like most types of games and am willing to try anything on a recommendation.
Though the N64, dreamcast and Oxbox are probably my most cherished consoles, most of my recent gaming has been done on my saturn, master system and 360.
Love the website, got me back into gaming and some quality information in the forums that has helped, e.g, how to spot fake GBA games which has proven helpful.
