Rare on the system, which is cool for collectibility and all. The F1 series has continued on other systems, and Princess Isabella is from Big Fish games, purveyors of stacks of similar games on PC and tablets ($3 is about right for what it'd cost on most platforms).
Again, being on a home console is neat though - I'd probably have grabbed it if I saw it too.

Most notable things I bought on the Gamestop sale were Return to Dreamland and a "play" copy of Prime Trilogy since my CE is still sealed (oddly, it rung up as Xenoblade).

Picked up three games over the weekend while garage sailing:
Metroid Prime 2 - complete
Rebel Strike - missing manual
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - no case or manual

$10 for all three. They wanted $5 a pop but I talked them down since it was missing so many pieces. I had no desire to buy Metroid Prime (this new style Metroid has yet to jive with me) but at $5 I figure we will get some fun out of the multiplayer.

Not so much a "look what I found" as an "I got tired of trying to find a used one that was in good enough condition for me to buy" kinda thing.

Add me to the list of OLED PS Vita owners! $199 @ Walmart, and it came with absolutely nothing in the box except the Vita and charger.

If only I had purchased one last Black Friday. Damn! (Oh well, I don't want to risk not getting an OLED version, since the LCD version drops in a few days.)

Only thing I found while garage sailing this Saturday was a reseller buying everything up.

We actually only had one sale in the entire town. I showed up 1/2 hour early, so as not to be too rude, only to find one of our local sellers walking away with a nice gamecube bundle as I arrived. It would have been my first find of the season. :(

This is where I tend to do battle with my own ethical system. Do I show up stupidly early to these things, possibly coming off as an over-eager picker; or do I stick to my guns and do it the proper and respectful way, possibly getting nothing for it in return? Choices, choices.

You do the latter. Let other people be the jerks.

Yep. I always end up sticking to my guns. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have moments where I questioned myself for it, but I always feel better long-term for NOT being that guy. It's just nice to have others qualify it sometimes. :)

You definitely don't want to be that guy. Video game collecting is not an expensive hobby; there is not that much money at stake; and IMO, people willing to sacrifice their character and self respect to obtain inexpensive video games are some of the most pathetic people in the world.

Traded some ds games to get tmnt hyperstone heist, sonic 3, sonic 3d blast, rocket knight adventures, earthworm jim, NHL 96, mortal kombat. It all came up to 68.00 which I think isn't too bad.

To Prfsnl_Gmr: Very well said.

I hate the re-sellers as much as anyone. (Lord knows I've posted it enough times.)

What I find is that it comes back around at some point. Just be patient, you'll eventually get something worth your time, and you won't have to battle your morals to do it. Just keep hunting, and you'll eventually come to a yard sale where they haven't put everything out yet, and even though you weren't early, you got there just in time for them to put out a nice big box of SNES carts or something. It'll happen, just be patient, and don't get discouraged. Come on here and vent and blow off steam (it helps) and then go right back out there.

I wouldn't doubt that there are people doing the same thing for even less expensive hobbies. But yes, I agree on all points.

Exactly. Nicely said. I've had my share of finds so I can't complain too much. I know there will be more. And like you say, they will be at decent times when I don't have to feel ashamed of my method.
